Takemichi relives his middle school years, and after revealing to Naoto that Hinata will die, Takemichi is suddenly transported back to the present, creating a time paradox where Naoto survives and is now a detective. Naoto deduces that Takemichi is able to travel back 12 years when they hold hands. Using knowledge from the past, Takemichi vows to save Hinata.
After returning to the present, Takemichi once again discovers that the Tokyo Manji Gang has grown into a large-scale crime organization, and Hinata and his friends die once again, while Draken is framed for a murder he did not commit.
