The Promised Neverland is a fantastic anime with a gripping plot, likeable characters, a terrifying villain, great animation, a cleverly used OST and the best opening this season. I'm glad The Promised Neverland turned out as good as it did. Horror anime is something difficult to get right.

The manga explains more about what happened during much of that time and explores more of the characters than the actual show. To further elaborate on the poor storytelling, time skips happen all over the place and doesn’t do anything to illustrate what has happened between those gaps.
Season 1 is absolutely worth watching, while Season 2 isn’t that worth watching. The anime screwed up season 2 by not following the manga. Still, if you wish you can go ahead to watch it or can also read the manga instead of watching season 2. 148 views.
It is interesting, the animation is good, soundtracks are good and the plot is unique. There are three main characters and all of them are very smart and the character development is great. If you like psychological or dark animes, this anime is for you.
Originally, Emma was a less decisive and active character, Norman had a "lighter" mood, and Ray was "more extreme", but Shirai and the series' editor, Suguru Sugita, decided to tweak the characters’ traits and personalities, something that, according to Sugita, continued as the series progressed.
