Afterwards, Hibiki weighs herself. Once she sees the results, she leaves in a very happy mood. In 2019, the manga was nominated for the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category. Gadget Tsūshin listed lines from the opening theme and the training video in their 2019 anime buzzwords list.

Akemi Soryuin from How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift is the younger sister of Kengan Ashura character Shion Soryuin and Kure Yakusha is the mother of Kure Karura from Kengan Ashura; Karura makes cameos in chapter 68 and 93 of How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift and Yakusha later cameos in chapter 55 of Kengan ...
While the Baki series follows the story of the titular character attempting to gain strength in order to defeat his all powerful father, Kengan Ashura follows fighters as they represent companies and fight on behalf of Chief Executive Officers in brutal tournaments that result in takeovers determined in the strangest ...
Physical Abilities. As his physique would imply, his strength is leagues above the average human, able to easily crush a hand grip that only 100 people in the world could close with a single hand. By his own account, he was only strong enough to bench 100kg and bicep curl 50kg dumbbells when he was just starting out.
The voice actors did a great job too. Ai Fairouz' s job as Hibiki is specially noteworthy since this was her first major role and she nailed it.
It just Hibiki wanting to lose weight so she goes to a gym called the Silverman Gym . She meets her new friend Akemi who's crazy about muscles and working out. Her best friend Ayaka, her teacher Ms. Tachibana, and Gina Boyd the Russia rival/friend of hers. There's also Mr. Machio who I will talk about later. The anime also has tips and info about various work out exercises and how to do them properly.
The main reason why the sound is so good are because of the ripping of clothes, the muscle-headed male groans, and the "special" Hibiki moments that are priceless.
Miss Tachibana 's character is a mixed bag of behaviors that make it difficult to truly pinpoint her personality, although she is not a bad character by any means. Lastly, mister Machio is a sincere trainer who flexes WAY TOO MUCH!
Of course a simple story works in this show's favor since that's just a vehicle to deliver pretty accurate tips (save for some tidbits here and there) to train properly without hurting yourself, spiced up with some eye candy to * ahem * keep your attention.
There's not much to say about the story in this show since it's premise is fairly simple and it's not really a story-driven show. It follows the trials and tribulations of Hibiki, a highschool girl who noticed she was getting plumpy and thus she started her quest to get slimmer (yet she still eats like every day is cheat day).
Secondly, the non-exerci sing portion of the plot, albeit often LOL funny, can be sometimes redundant and without enough additional plot to support the educational aspect of it. Plus, there are some many random occurrences that happen throughout and with some of them hinting towards new sub-plot arcs. However, they either get started and left unresolved, or they are merely suggested without anything becoming of them at all. The story could have been so much better than what it is if the writing is more precise and tighter.
Hibiki Sakura is a second-year high school girl who has a voracious appetite; this habit leads to her gaining weight. Once this is brought to her attention, she reluctantly thinks about joining the Silverman Gym. At the gym, Hibiki finds out that Akemi Soryuin, a schoolmate of hers, is also thinking about joining. Upon meeting Naruzo Machio, one of the trainers, she falls heads over heels in love with him and joins the gym. Motivated, Hibiki vows to lose weight.

Ai Fairouz will play Hibiki Sakura, and Sora Amamiya will play Akemi Sōryūin.
The "body-building comedy" centers around Hibiki Sakura, a high school girl who loves eating, and Akemi Sōryūin, the beautiful and charismatic student council president who has a muscle fetish. The staff describes the story:
Silver Man Gym is presenting the project. Sandrovich and MAAM, a relatively new manga artist, launched the manga in Shogakukan 's web manga site Ura Sunday and in Shogakukan 's Manga ONE app in 2016, and Shogakukan will publish the sixth volume on Friday, January 18.
Marin's charm is that she's so beautifully comfortable with her body and her interests that she doesn't try to hide anything, and her stated goal with Wakana was to be able to go to cosplay events in the best costume possible.
Midoriya fights the blush on his cheeks and pulls Todoroki up to his feet and instructs, "Try not to move too much, so like, stay straight. I'm going to be grabbing your leg and your armpit, okay?"
Then the both of them see very clearly where Todoroki and Yaoyorozu are lounging under an umbrella together, Todoroki with his hand dangling in the cooler of drinks to keep the ice from melting in the sweltering heat.
Kirishima shakes his head, "You're gonna drop me, man."
Kirishima is actually crying a little bit as Midoriya looks over at him, grinning.
