What makes Edward relatable is many things, like:
What is the best anime character so far?
But Asta completely negates magic with his swords, and is invisible to detection because the lad literally has zero magic power. There’s also the whole demonic origin of his powers. And we all know that he’s only going to get stronger and stronger. 48. Akame.
Where the anime is right now, Midoriya is extremely powerful. Where the manga is at he’s insane. And by his proclamation in the very first episode that he was going to be the number one hero, we know that in the future he’s going to be plus ultra god-tier. One for All is just such a strong quirk.
The thing with Akame is that she’s guaranteed to one-shot you, with even just a graze. This is because her sword puts a “death mark” on you. But instead of letting you pass the Chunin exams, it just kills you. And that’s very relevant when the wielder of said sword is as fast and precise as Akame is.
And Muzan is pretty nuts in all regards. Just being a demon already means that during the night he’s invincible to everything that doesn’t harbor the power of the Sun. But Muzan can also create other demons, and not some baby foot soldiers. But real demons that the protagonists barely fend off.
Though Eren is far from useless while in his human form, it's not until he transforms that he really becomes deadly. The ability to mutate into an unstoppable fifteen-foot Titan is an incredibly useful one to have up one's sleeve, and it's one that comes to his rescue time and time again throughout Attack on Titan.
Naruto may not be as strong as some of the other popular anime protagonists that are out there, but what he lacks in raw strength, he more than makes up for with technique and confidence. The once narcissistic ninja's control over the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox makes him a real force to be reckoned with, as too does Sage Mode.
Thanks to his impressive collection of souls, Alucard is more or less invincible at the beginning of Hellsing. By the series' conclusion, however, he exists both everywhere and nowhere, making it downright impossible to kill him.
Being the Son of the Soul King, Yhwach was blessed with a number of unique powers; most notably the ability to distribute parts of his soul to other living beings simply by touching them. By doing so, he was able to have people cultivate new powers and abilities for him, which he was then able to reclaim and use against his enemies.
Naruto has come up against some powerful villains over the years, but none quite as deadly as the Rabbit Goddess, Kaguya. After consuming the fruit of the God Tree and then later merging with the God Tree itself, she became the Ten-Tails, granting her a wide array of powers that make her nigh-on unstoppable in battle.
Tetsuo serves as the main antagonist in Akira, despite having once been the hero's best friend. His psychic power, once fully awakened, proves to be far too much for him to be able to control, leading to a series of psychic explosions that threaten to destroy the entire universe.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy anime may be fairly new when compared to some of the other popular anime series that have made their way west, but its main protagonist Anos has existed for more than 2,000 years.
However, after Shinichi is attacked and almost killed by another alien, Migi disperses 30% of his body into Shinichi’s. This causes Shinichi to develop powers similar to the parasites. He gains enhanced strength, speed, durability and vastly improved mental faculties. By himself, he may not be much of a fighter, but after contracting alien powers he’s many times stronger than a normal human. Not to mention Migi is incredibly smart, and is a combat strategist for the two. This allows them to take out enemies much stronger than themselves, such as the practically invincible Gotou.
He may be low on our list, but don’t underestimate this red haired, ex-hitokiri from the Rurouni Kenshin series. Despite his small stature, he is regarded as one of the most powerful and legendary swordsmen to ever exist. After slaughtering countless people during the Meiji Revolution, Kenshin hung up his blade, vowing to never kill again. He travels around Japan as a rurouni, a wandering, masterless samurai, seeking redemption for the lives he’s taken. Kenshin wields a Sakabato as his weapon of choice, a katana with the blade forged on the opposite side, making it a poor fit for killing.
When he transforms, he retains his intelligence and military training making him that much more dangerous. The reason that he doesn’t make it higher on this list, is because he can’t always rely on his Titan form. To transform, he needs to physically injure himself. Characters in the manga and anime have gotten around this problem by tying his hands together and gagging him. There is no doubt that Titan Eren is ridiculously powerful, but his human form would be crushed by anyone else on this list.
While in the hospital recovering, government officials discover that Tetsuo possesses vast psychic capabilities, similar to the esper Akira, who’s power destroyed Japan 31 years earlier. After unlocking his abilities, Tetsuo has a vast array of telekinetic powers. He can fly, generate force fields so he can breathe in space, bend light, levitate objects and channel his telekinesis into powerful energy blasts.
Light is a genius and he decides to use the Death Note as a form of justice, killing people who he decides don’t deserve to live.
His signature move, the Spirit-Gun, fires a concentrated blast of energy from his right index finger. In the beginning of the series, it was enough to smash a small boulder. By the end, once Yusuke unlocked his demon powers, it was near to the destructive level of atomic explosions. Unfortunately, we never really got to see his full power in action, because the Demon World Tournament saga was underwhelmingly short. However, we know that his father, Raizen, was at one time the most powerful demon in the demon realm. We can only assume that Yusuke will follow in his footsteps.
It’s violent and utterly devastating. But terrible circumstances always lead to interesting heroes, and Shinichi Izumi is one of the most unique in anime history. In this series, human bodies are taken over by parasitic aliens that feast on human flesh.
Once a major part of Gotei 13, Aizen perhaps has the most memorable heel turns of all time in anime history. He definitely earns a spot on this list with his impressive Bankai that not many can overcome.
There's a reason why he was chosen to be the Seventh Hokage after all — his incredible powers means that the villagers find themselves safe in the arms of this oddly charismatic character.
The only reason why he's not higher up on the list is because of the disappointing manner in which he was taken care of at the end, and that was mainly because Kubo had to end this arc early and wrap up Bleach once and for all.
Ending lives with a smile on his face, Misogi's latest Minus power was All Fiction , which allowed him to straight up deny certain aspects of reality to fit his twisted mindset. It's incredibly powerful, to the point where Misogi himself needed to think twice before using this power.
The Battle of Maniford is one of the most epic moments in One Piece, and it's easy to say that Whitebeard is one of the major reasons why this arc was all the more special.
My Hero Academia is the newest shōnen anime to have taken over the Western world by storm, and for good reason — the unique spin on the concept of superheroes is equal parts familiar and enticing, making for a highly entertaining show indeed.
One of the major reasons why this show was so popular was because of the protagonist, Kenshiro.
He is the main character of the story. Childhood “friend” of Katsuki Bakugo, whom he nicknames Katchan, he was born without Quirk. He wants to become the best superhero of his time, like his idol, the famous All Might: “To be able to save lives with a smile on your face”.
