Overall I liked this anime a lot! I've been reading the manga since two years ago so I had read around 100 chapters, and this anime covered quite a lot. The characters are well developed and the pacing is fine. They did change the last two episodes though, so parts of the last episode are anime original.
Out of all the new anime that's come out this season, How to Keep a Mummy is the one I recommend most for parents to show their kids. It's not the best anime of the bunch, but it is by far the most well-made, family-friendly anime I've seen since Non Non Biyori.

Mii (ミー), often addressed as Mii-kun, is one of the main characters and is owned by Sora. He was sent to Sora by Mokuren and has been his pet and companion since then. Despite being able to stand and walk, Mii runs on all fours like a dog when he wants to move fast.
Seriously worth a watch. The first episode I was like 'ehhh cringe" but then I kept watching and I LOVED it. I'll definitely come back and re-watch at some point! It's so cute, each oni has a different personality, and the characters are unique too.

Differences: - Dragon Maid is more chaotic humor, focusing on relationships. - How to Keep your Mummy is more cute and calm, focusing on friendship and mythology. Both are great in their own way if you are looking for something light that will make you smile.
dazaissuicideletter says... Both of these animes have someone taking care of another. They're both beautiful animes about friendship and family! Both of the main characters are responsible and hard working, and that another thing that makes these anime alike.
While Hakumei is cheerful, outgoing and prefers to be outside, Mikochi is more introverted and prefers to stay indoors. These differences will set the tone for their friendship.
