Vagabond wouldn't work very well in anime form unless it had and really high budget and was made by a good studio. He’s picky and rightfully so. With manga art this good we would have another Berserk situation unless a really good studio picks it up Its justified. Look at Kengan Asura and Berserk....great mangas ruined by CGI.
Manga series Vagabond from author/illustrator Takehiko Inoue, also of Slam Dunk fame , is an extremely delicate subject among fans. This is due to the fact that, after suffering periods of hiatus as it is, the author has seemingly expressed little desire to ever return to the series.

If your looking for a manga to read after Vagabond - I recommend REAL if you haven't read it already. It's a story also written by Inoue and focuses on disabilities and self-improvement in life and finding a way back from hitting rock bottom. That’s why Netflix anime is a little weird, because it doesn’t follow the merchandising/manga model and is funded by Netflix more to create content to get people to subscribe to their service.
In the end it’s about money. Remember that anime generally isn’t made to make money. Anime is made more as a marketing tool to push merchandise (like Gunpla models) and to raise sales of the source material (like what happened with Kimetsu no Yaiba). The actual anime series itself is usually not very profitable; DVD/Bluray sales even for the most popular series are modest at best. Even Gundam Seed “only” sold 1 million copies (Gundam Seed is one of the highest-selling anime of all time) but in comparison it sold some 10 million Gunpla models. Merchandising is where it’s at when it comes to anime.
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou’s OAV, for instance, was very short = two series with a total of 4 episodes all in all, barely covers the content of the manga and just gives you a glimpse of the best parts of the early series. The animation was also pretty mediocre and didn’t do justice to the beauty of YKK’s setting.
One thing to consider is that Gekiga series in general aren’t very popular to translate as anime because of the target market.
I guess those news were right, because Vagabond which is a critically acclaimed manga, revered by many as one of the best manga of all times (already finished BTW) is not adapted to anime, or even his other amazing manga called Real. Probably, his work will never be animated until something makes the author change his mind.
Lots of mangaka were of this opinion. Examples are Hiroaki Samura (who did Muugen no Juunin, better known as Blade of the Immortal) and of course Takehiko Inoue himself.
like being in the zone it has been portrayed that way to make the anime look more interesting but the zone is actually attainable. many nba players get much better at their game when they begin focusing 100%.
