The anime revolves around a girl named Nanami who somehow gets the status of a Kami (Shinto Goddess). Nanami now has to balance her responsibilities as a human and as a goddess in the magical world. She is accompanied by a fox spirit named Tomoe who protects her and stays around her all the time in his human form. This is where their interspecies love story begins but it’s surely not going to be an easy one. Tomoe’s past and other spirits try to constantly separate them and test their love for each other. Impressed by Inari’s kindness, the goddess of a nearby shrine grants her a wish. The animation is however quite diffrent, with Kamisama Kiss using lots of pastal colors and a unique style of animation that complements the carefree and occasionally goofy story. RDG uses a more average (but still notable) style of animation and strong colors to enhance the character interactions and storyline.
Kamisama is a romantic reverse harem, while noragami is a battle anime. MagicalFox says... Both anime have a girl who cares somewhat for the guy, and the otherway around.
snivets says... Furuba and Kamisama are two anime that begin with a young girl who is on her own and lacks a place to live. She is taken in by unusual people who are not completely human--and this living situation results in hints of romance and character growth on all sides. ChocoXGummi says...
Even though Kamisama Hajimemashita has a supernatural element that Wolf Girl and Black Prince does not have, both stories still revolve around similar characters. Both Nanami and Erika are compassionate young girls that want a beautiful high school life and a beautiful romance. They find this romance in the rude but caring Tomoe and Kyouya, two boys who are not willing to admit their love for the girls, but in the end can't escape it.
While Kamisama Hajimemashita is not as action-packed as Inuyasha, both are about a young girl who meets a boy with ears. The shows each have romance and comedy, and the girl has spiritual powers. The boys like the girl back but are reluctant to admit it. There is also a past in which the non-human boys had a love affair with a human, which leads to romantic questions. I think that both of these shows have the same feel to them and will apeal to the same audience.
However in Kamisama Hajimemashita, the girl has powers of her own, and the love story is more explicit than implied as it is in Fruits Basket. TsunderePrincess says... Fruits Basket and Kamisama Kiss show great similarites. Both Tohru and Nanami are homeless, but are taken into another home.
While InuYasha may be a little more action based and Kamisama a little more light hearted, the two are so similar it's almost cliche. But, that being said, if you liked InuYasha and wanted more silliness or you like Kamisama and want more action (and episodes) than you should check out your respective series.

The time travel arc in Kamisama Kiss is one that turns the whole series upside down. In both the manga and the anime, the time travel arc reveals that Tomoe's first love was not really Yukiji as everyone thought. Instead, it was actually Nanami who had traveled back in time.
Often the best part about anime is the fact that relationships can be expanded and explored differently. This occurs in Kamisama Kiss with Mizuki and Tomoe's relationship. In both the anime and the manga, Tomoe and Mizuki have a tumultuous relationship. Mizuki appears seemingly out of nowhere and makes himself Nanami's familiar, which makes him Tomoe's rival. On top of that, he's always causing problems with his immaturity.
In the manga, she wears a men's kimono that is too big for her. She also has to wear a wig that has bangs. In the anime, the outfit fits Namami perfect and is filled with vibrant red, pink, and white flowers.
In the manga, a flashback to the past shows that prior to becoming Namami's familiar, Mizuki had learned about Tomoe guarding a shrine by himself. As Mizuki was also alone, he would visit Tomoe in his snake form and leave him divine sake.
Tomoe is a fox demon. He has silver-white hair, large fox ears, and a fluffy tail. In both the anime and the manga, Tomoe has had instances of long hair in the past, and short hair in the current time and future. He also has the power to shape-shift into other people.
Another couple that gets together in both the manga and the anime is Numano Himemiko and Urashima Kotaro.
Tomoe's main rival in Kamisama Kiss seems to be Mizuki. He appears seemingly out of nowhere and kisses Nanami to become her familiar. At the beginning of the series, he works hard to try and sway Nanami towards him and away from Tomoe.
Both Kagome and Nanami have other suitors vying for their attention. In Kagome's case, there is Koga. Koga is a wolf-demon who fell in love with Kagome essentially at first sight.
Both Inuyasha and Tomoe dress in more traditional style clothing. Inuyasha and Tomoe may have the most obvious similarities, but Kagome and Nanami look alike too! They both have long, dark hair with bangs and they both primarily wear their school uniforms.
Their similarities do not end there, though, as they both have bright-colored eyes, Inuyasha's being a golden hue and Tomoe's a purple tone. Both Inuyasha and Tomoe dress in more traditional style clothing.
One of Inuyasha's defining characteristics is his hot-headedness. Inuyasha is short-tempered and likes to fight first, think later. He can be easily angered and provoked to battle. When it comes to his relationship with Kagome, he is prideful and can be immature.
Inuyasha is plagued by the fact that he is a Dog half-demon. He spends the majority of the anime hunting down the Sacred Jewel shards to use it to become a full demon. Inuyasha becomes human every new moon and can become a full demon during moments of distress.
At the time Kagome and Nanami enter the lives of Inuyasha and Tomoe, both of them have had their first loves. Inuyasha fell in love with Kikyo 50 years before meeting Kagome. Inuyasha lives haunted by Kikyo's death and when she returns to life, he is conflicted between Kagome and his first love.
