The Pokémon Company has announced a brand new anime premiering globally in 2022 called Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series. Select markets will start seeing the new series as early as Spring, with premieres occurring in additional regions through to the end of 2022 and beyond.
Galar is the region where Pokémon Sword and Shield takes place. It made its anime debut in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
Pokemon Journeys might be Ash's last season but there is no way Ash and Pikachu are ever leaving the franchise – it's as likely as Pikachu evolving into Raichu.

Every Pokemon in Sword and Shield So Far. The new Pokemon anime series will premiere on November 17 with a one-hour special. That’s two days after Pokemon Sword and Shield is released on the Nintendo Switch.
Ash and Gou both seem to be carrying new, smartphone-like Pokedex devices this season as well, and based on the trailer the theme of this series is world travel. The promotional art shows Ash and Gou in front of a globe with various Pokeworld landmarks that look vaguely like real landmarks like Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower.
His name is Gou and he’ll be joined by Scorbunny from the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield as his companion.

Meanwhile, the “Mirage Master” tries to peek into Pikachu’s brain to collect data from the Pokémon. Pikachu is in such pain that Professor Oak steps in and gives him the code. The code is ‘Red Green’. Now the “Mirage Master” has all of the data for each Pokémon and is creating a Mirage Mewtwo.
Mewtwo attacks and destroys the other Mirage Pokémon in one go. Then it attacks Ash, May, Misty, Pikachu and Professor Oak, but Professor Oak summons his Dragonite who protects them. Then they flee and Mew comes along. Meanwhile, Brock has arrived at Jenny’s and tells her everything; Jenny goes with Brock.
Former distance runner Risa agrees to attend the festival to catch a wild Eevee for her younger brother Rick. Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu attend the festival and take part in the Pokémon catching competition.
