All the anime below will leave Hulu on Wednesday, June 1. If you see any of your favorites on this list, perhaps it’s time to get one last binge session in before you have to go elsewhere to stream. Without further ado, here are the nine anime leaving Hulu in May 2022.

Summer has officially begun, but you’re on the clock, people! Despite the warm and inviting weather, there are only a few weeks left to watch some of your favorite shows and movies on Hulu before they depart at the end of the month.
A group of shows including: Digimon (all four seasons), Parasyte, Clannad 1 & 2, Toradora, Akame Ga Kill, Maid Sama, Utano Prince Sama, Golden Time, Wolf Girl and Black Prince, Say I Love You, The Fruits of Grisaia, Persona 4: the animation, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, and My Love Story are all expiring from Hulu!
Now Hulu has announced that a huge batch of anime is being removed from their library as contracts are set to expire next month as well. This comes at a time where Hulu has also lost rights to their Criterion Collection as that movie library will be moving to an exclusive deal with a new streaming service.
At the end of 2021, it seemed like Hulu was going to lose some anime, probably due to the expiration of licenses. In 2022, the titles stayed up and no longer had expiration times on them, so I assumed that they regained streaming rights.
Although Assassination Classroom is leaving Hulu, we know the love for this show is never going anywhere.

While many first watched it on Netflix, Hulu, and Funimation at different times, it's now no longer available in the U.S. on those platforms. Instead, the series is available to stream in full with Japanese audio and English subtitles on Crunchyroll.
It was announced today that Funimation's library will move to Crunchyroll, making the streaming service the premiere anime destination. (Likely related, a lot of anime series are leaving Hulu by the end of March.)

Funimation's anime library is moving over to Crunchyroll.
The series is rated for older teens, but the covers with their bright colors and smiling face might attract younger readers and parents who would associate with other titles that are rated for them. I'm glad that was the reason for making it a “worst” graphic novel, and not the story, which is very good.
