Anime Titles Leaving Hulu Again? At the end of 2021, it seemed like Hulu was going to lose some anime, probably due to the expiration of licenses. In 2022, the titles stayed up and no longer had expiration times on them, so I assumed that they regained streaming rights.
I saw on Hulu there are a lot of highly rated anime shows being expired by the end of 2021. I created some show requests to have them remain available. Please vote! Cowboy Bebop - Keep It! Trigun - Keep It! Space Dandy - Keep It!
The Hulu streaming service is listing all Media Blasters anime titles as expiring on Saturday. Affected titles include Ah! My Goddess, Blade of the Immortal, Mazinkaiser SKL, Holy Knight, Mirage of Blaze, Squid Girl, Girl's High, Rio - Rainbow Gate!, Ramen Fighter Miki, and Kite: Liberator .
Here at Hulu, we’re always working to secure more of the shows and movies you love most. However, on occasion, some of your favorite programming may need to be removed. Whenever this happens, we do our best to inform you by moving the content that’s expiring to the Expiring section of My Stuff.

Now Hulu has announced that a huge batch of anime is being removed from their library as contracts are set to expire next month as well. This comes at a time where Hulu has also lost rights to their Criterion Collection as that movie library will be moving to an exclusive deal with a new streaming service.
Expiring badges indicate how many days you have left to watch before the expiration date so you don't miss out on the content you want to see.

It was announced today that Funimation's library will move to Crunchyroll, making the streaming service the premiere anime destination. (Likely related, a lot of anime series are leaving Hulu by the end of March.)
While many first watched it on Netflix, Hulu, and Funimation at different times, it's now no longer available in the U.S. on those platforms. Instead, the series is available to stream in full with Japanese audio and English subtitles on Crunchyroll.
Shrek and Shrek 2 will be exiting Hulu, as will all five films in the Twilight Saga. Other movies leaving Hulu on Saturday night include Charlie's Angels, Battleship, Jingle All the Way, White Men Can't Jump, Man on Fire, Tombstone, and many more.

Anime fans aren't the only media devotees who will find a lot less to watch on Hulu; the launch of Turner Classic Movie's FilmStruck service means that the Criterion Collection will be leaving Hulu in December.
Hulu might be best known for its catalog of network TV shows, but for fans of Japanese animation it's been a great resource for anime titles both new and old. That looks like it's changing on June 1st, with a significant bulk of Hulu's anime catalog disappearing as the service streamlines to include only the most popular titles.
Justin Sevakis of Anime News Network says that Hulu stopped accepting back catalog programs months ago, and has been gradually purging lower-performing titles since then. June 1 just represents a grander sweep -- possibly an attempt by Hulu to streamline its offerings before it begins offering live TV in 2017.
Two series thought to be leaving, Last Exile and Chobits, will still be available on Hulu for the immediate future.
