To build your team, there are a few things to consider:

Fate/ stay night Trailer 1 Fate/ Stay Night Trailer On the other hand, if you have already watched the series and would like to revisit it, the chronological order is recommended.
Japanese fantasy anime seriesFate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (Japanese: Fate/Grand Order -絶対魔獣戦線バビロニア-, Hepburn: Feito/Gurando Ōdā - Zettai Majuu Sensen Babironia) is a Japanese fantasy anime series produced by CloverWorks.
Fate/Grand Order is a fun and entertaining game, but it's not for everyone. It has an excellent story that I enjoy reading, the characters are fun and interesting and I enjoy rolling for them. Despite the fact that it is hard to get a lot of SSR servants without whaling for this game it is still a lot of fun to play.
Fate/Grand Order is (primarily) a mobile game, not an anime. Specifically, it is a turn-based tactical role-playing game based on the Fate series. The Fate series surrounds a worldview where there is magic.

Outstanding series concerning story, characters, drama, animation and music. A great mix of serious and funny , calm and action as well as of sad and heartwarming scenes. I liked every Fate-series, but this by far the best until today. Absolute must-watch: 10 / 10 stars!

Japanese FGO is about 2 years ahead of the US version. Event frequency is the same, so therefore many people make event predictions (that turn out correct) about upcoming events in NA.
Sony's Fate/Grand Order has been downloaded more than 7 million times, its players in Japan outspend Pokemon Go users and it's a hit in China. The mobile game may get a Hong Kong release in 2017.
While the story is technically standalone, it's chock-a-block with references to (and spoilers for) the rest of the Fate franchise .
Fate/Zero is set 10 years before Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and is the opposite of the chronological order, but watching it this way makes it easier to understand the rules of the world. Fate/Grand Order -First Order- is more backtracking.
There is no definite order for Fate series since the Visual Novel and the anime are not directly connected. So, this is just based on my experiences and I prefer your own choice and experience to watch the series.
During the Fate series anime, you get to see lots of fights due to having multiple episodes and time. But due to Grand Order being a 1 hour movie, there are not that many fights overall fans of this series are accustomed to.
Although the special doesn't go into the backgrounds of our characters it leaves ... In-Depth - Fate Grand Order is a pretty great and hopefully gets a full series.
Keep in mind that this movie serves as a prequel to the Fate Babylonia anime that came out recently. While Episode 0 of that anime serves as a prequel to this movie. Episode 0 Fate Babylonia -> Grand Order Movie -> Fate Babylonia, that's the chronological order in this Fate route.
2 Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (Anime, 2019) In Babylonia, Chaldea's Ritsuka and Mash travel in time to Mesopotamia in 2655 B.C. Their goal is to fix the Singularity in this era to prevent the Earth's destruction in 2016 - only for a monster-besieged region to surprise them.
Events of Fate/EXTRA Last Encore starts hazy, and that's by intention. In this anime, Hakuno Kishinami wakes up in a strange world accompanied only by a Servant. With no recollection of his past, he somehow apparently has to win the Holy Grail War and, hopefully, regain his identity in the process.
Fate/Zero once again takes place in Fuyuki City, a decade before the events of Fate/stay night. As this setting implies, Fate/Zero serves as the prequel to Shirou's adventures. This time around, Kiritsugu Emiya becomes a participant of the Fourth Holy Grail War.
Fate/Zero serves as a great third piece of media to bridge the main Fate/stay night story and its spinoffs. After Fate/Zero, fans may also choose to play the /stay night sequel, /hollow ataraxia.
Surprisingly, their journey ends when the world is about to end, in 2016. Ritsuka and Mash need to stop Solomon's plans once and for all.
Unbeknownst to him, Sakura has a mysterious past connected not just to the Holy Grail War as a whole, but to the entity that has begun killing off the War's participants. As with UBW , the Heaven's Feel films explore the titular route in the VN, where Sakura becomes Shirou's leading lady.
This anime serves as the adaptation of the Fate/Zero light novels. Un like the main series, Fate/Zero has a profoundly deeper approach to the complexities of the Holy Grail War. Aside from its stellar animations, its exploration of the themes of sacrifice and ambition earned the praise of viewers and critics.
The Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia anime began airing in October 2019, and its slick animation and cameos from fan-favorite ...

Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World is one of the most popular isekai anime of all time, and for good reason: it has a harem of female characters who are actually likable and well-rounded. While it doesn't have the same action elements as FGO, it has mystery-thriller elements to it that make it unique in the isekai genre. Its worldbuilding has been critically acclaimed as well.
Though most mecha series are very different from FGO, this one manages to have many of the same core themes. Darling in the Franxx takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, but like FGO, it never becomes too grimdark or philosophical.
Tokyo Ghoul is an awesome dark fantasy for those who like the darker elements of FGO's mythos. Since it's set in present-day Tokyo, it's missing the sci-fi elements that help make FGO so epic, but it's still an excellent show. It has plenty of twists and turns that surprise even seasoned anime fans.
Like FGO, The Rising of the Shield Hero has well-animated battles, unlikely partnerships, and a fantasy setting full of surprises. Main character Naofumi is more well-rounded than most isekai protagonists, and the supporting cast is also interesting. The plot takes some time to get moving, but it allows the characters time to develop.
Don't overlook this one just because it's weirder than FGO. Kill la Kill has zany character designs and over-the-top action, but at its core, it's a thrilling fantasy story that is a breath of fresh air in the action genre. Main characters Ryuko and Satsuki are way more complex than they appear at first glance, and their journeys are aided by a compelling supporting cast. The plot twists are memorable, too, and it's worth rewatching the series a second time to see the little details you missed the first time through.
