How to Start Drawing Anime/Manga Feet in Different Positions. Always start by drawing the overall shape/major shapes of the foot first. If you are not simply drawing a scene that is zoomed on the feet but the whole person then you should start by drawing the overall proportions of the person first .
When drawing feet there are two major parts to consider, the foot itself and the toes. While the toes can move individually, during most normal movement of the foot they usually stay together.
Female anime legs shape. In the front view the legs sort of curve inwards towards the center of the body and then curve outwards and back inwards past the knees. In the side view the legs curve backwards and then forwards from the knees down.
Female anime leg curves. Generally female legs are a set of fairly smooth curves (especially so in the anime and manga style). Though different anime characters can have different looking legs (thinner, thicker, muscular, etc…) you can use the above above illustration as an example of some general curves of the legs.
Generally the area of the legs going from the slightly above the bottom of the body to the bottom of the knees will be about as tall as the area from below the knees to the bottom of the feet.
This tutorial covers the basics of the shape and proportions of anime and manga style legs legs. As already mentioned anime legs are often the same as real legs. This means that if you ever need more reference for drawing legs in a particular position you can always look at some real photos.
The front view is also one where they squeezed toes will be the most obvious. The big toe will point more inwards towards what will be the tip of the shoes. The same goes for the toes on the other side. The toes in the middle of the foot will be pretty much unchanged.
