I'm always sketching this kind of trapeze shape that is broader on top the two upper angles of my trapeze shape are going to loosely indicate their arms.
Draw the outline of the body as follows: Make a vertical line through the middle of the drawing area to help see if both sides of the body will be of relatively equal width. Draw a hint of the head (or the entire head if it’s easier for you). Add the neck going down from the bottom of the ears.
You can draw each side of the chest with four sets of curves. The first one should somewhat face towards the shoulders, the next one can follow the angle of the collar bones. The third curve can be along the center line drawn in the first step. Finally for the last curve draw it’s line going slightly downwards in a light curve and then going back up again in a fairly sharp curve towards the start of the first curve.
Draw the outline of the body as follows: 1 Make a vertical line through the middle of the drawing area to help see if both sides of the body will be of relatively equal width. 2 Draw a hint of the head (or the entire head if it’s easier for you). 3 Add the neck going down from the bottom of the ears. You can draw it just a tiny bit wider towards the bottom. 4 Going downwards from the neck in light curves draw the trapezius muscles. 5 Down from the trapezius draw the shoulders with just one curve each. 6 Add a hint of the arms. Make them fairly thick as this is a muscular character. 7 Down from the arms draw the body getting narrower and then doing a sort of “wave shape” around the waist area where it gets wider and then narrower again. 8 From the waist area the body will get wider again as it transitions into the hip/leg areas.
Draw the shoulder muscles sort of “cutting” into the arm where they then split into the arm muscles such as the biceps.
Going downwards from the neck in light curves draw the trapezius muscles.
It’s important to note this as sometimes anime characters can be drawn with very exaggerated proportions to look absolutely huge. If drawing on paper it’s recommended that you make light lines up until the final step of the tutorial. This will make it easier to erase any potential mistakes.
Finally to finish the drawing you can add all of the smaller details and curves of the different muscles groups. You can also erase the center line and go over your drawing with a darker stroke.
Sketch features and hair onto your figure’s head. Place the eyes just below the center of the circle add eyebrows slightly above them. Add the nose and eyes below the eyes in the middle of the face. Choose a hairstyle for your anime character and draw it in clumps rather than individual strands.
Your anime girl’s shoulders should be about 1 ½ times wider than the head.
Sketch an hourglass shape with 2 circles in it for the torso. Draw the top line of the hourglass shape slightly below the chin to form the shoulders. Draw curved lines going toward the center line, and flare out the bottom of the hourglass shape so it’s slightly wider than the shoulders for the hips.
1. Draw a head at the top of your paper. Place a circle near the top center of the page so there’s enough room to add hair later on. Put the point of the chin slightly outside the bottom edge of the circle since the jaw will come lower down.
The guide line will also help keep your drawing symmetrical.
Put circles on the top corners of the shoulders to mark the joints so you can visualize them better.
Be careful not to erase the outline for your character or else you’ll have to redraw it.
1. Use a pencil and draw a stick figure. Draw an egg shape for the head and then draw the rest of the body using lines. You should be able to find the pose you like easier this way. Keep the limbs of the body proportioned with the head, so that the head is not too big for the body.
Focus on making the face more round and the eyes young. Babies and children tend to have baby fat, so their bodies will have more circles than straight lines. The head will also be bigger in proportion to the body, which will give them a cuter look. Take a look at some chibis for a good (but exaggerated) example.
This is the bottom of 3rd circle.Draw a small circle for the belly button
Draw two inverted triangles from rib cage line. From there two lines nearly straight down to the bottom of the 3rd circle.
The crotch line is the bottom of 4th circle. Draw two lines inverted downwards to the bottom of the 4th circle.
From the top of the 4th circle down to the knee line. The line down should be a slight curve down. The inside lines should be angled to the crotch
From knees draw legs down to the bottom of the 8th circle. The lower legs line should curve out a bit for the calves and then become slim around the ankle
Then from the elbow down to just below the crotch line. Draw circles for hands
Instead of circles, we’re going to use a rectangular shape to sketch the male body. Draw a horizontal line slightly below the head and extend it downwards till you get to the center of the vertical line.
Leave a small gap below the chin and draw a circle that’s almost the same size as the head. The first circle should be one and a half times wider than the head.
We want to ensure that the character’s body is symmetrical. That’s why we are going to draw a vertical line in the middle of the head.
