1. Use a pencil and draw a stick figure. Draw an egg shape for the head and then draw the rest of the body using lines. You should be able to find the pose you like easier this way. Keep the limbs of the body proportioned with the head, so that the head is not too big for the body.
Focus on making the face more round and the eyes young. Babies and children tend to have baby fat, so their bodies will have more circles than straight lines. The head will also be bigger in proportion to the body, which will give them a cuter look. Take a look at some chibis for a good (but exaggerated) example.

In anime the head can be a slightly larger but it also depends on the size of the person you are drawing. Big muscular anime characters may have heads that are much smaller in relation to the body than normal characters.

Most beginners look at anime drawings and think they’re hard to draw. However, I’m here to show you that’s not true. Most of the drawings I’m sharing are actually very beginner-friendly. These drawings are perfect references for anyone who wants to practice drawing anime characters.
Start your drawing by first drawing the overall shape of the head. The top of the head will be close to a circle in the front view and close to an oval in the side view .
Before drawing the eyebrows what you first need to do is estimate where the characters hairline should be (slightly down from the top of the head) and going down from the hairline divide the face into three evenly proportioned parts. Draw the eyebrows on the line that is the next one down from the hairline.
