Functional (real) arrows must have their tips removed and be bundled and zip-tied to a quiver. Costume swords must be tied to your costume in such a way that they can’t be drawn.
Another factor that contributes to the price range of anime replica swords is whether they come sheathed. Sheaths (or scabbards) can help protect hands and clothes from getting cut when the sword is removed or replaced.
Swords are allowed if they can be tied shut in their sheath, or if they are made of wood or plastic. Swords must never be waved around or wielded, but they can be used for still posing for photographs.

New York City’s knife laws prohibit fixed blades over 4 inches and any knife if it is visible while being carried (no pocket clips, they leave part of the knife visible!) They also prohibit any folding knives with a lock mechanism that opens “by application of centrifugal force”.
Knives laws are state issues. In some states, there is a length limit, often around 3 inches. In others, you can have switch blades. Here in Michigan, the law states that you cannot carry a knife with the intention of harming someone.
Oh, and the typical response time in NYC is for a “critical” call (like murder) is about 7 minutes. For a serious call (man with a gun, shots fired, etc.) it’s almost 9 minutes. So, you can forget the NYPD coming to your rescue in time.
A look at knives and Ohio law. In Ohio, you may own any kind of knife. You may not, however carry anything which is “dangerous ordnance.”. And you may not conceal carry any deadly weapon. So let’s parse this as best we can.
Answered 1 year ago. Obviously. you can own your sword in NEW YORK. it's totally legal to own your sword. Because you have knives in your kitchen or home. So you can own a sword in any county or state.
Maryland knife laws never specifically mention swords at all. They do, however, ban the carrying of "dangerous weapons.". So if the judge decides your sword is a "dangerous weapon," you're done. As an aside, in Florida, where I live, your Concealed Weapons Permit is a license to carry weapons, not just guns.
Most states say the fixed blade weapons must be worn openly in public. While collapsible sheathed blades can be concealed. in both California and New York, cane swords are a misdemeanor and a felony after the third time.
