Is Berserk really that good?

Berserk manga by Kentaro Miura is one of the best saga I have ever seen, great script, great dialogues, great characters and all what mankind have to offer : from best to worst. But Berserk manga is actually very dark, very harsh, violent, and humanity got an ugly side, a real ugly one. This movie does a great job to introduce the Golden Age Arc.
