WARNING! Major spoilers for the end of Bleach ’s manga rest below! After more than 15 years in print, Tite Kubo finally brought Bleach to an end back in August 2016.
During a visit at San Diego Comic Con, Kubo commented on Bleach ’s controversial love triangle well before it came to an end. The artist said he was asked about romance a lot, but he wasn’t too focused on that kind of storytelling.
Fans on both sides of Ichigo’s shipping debacle argued that Kubo never set up the hero to end up with one girl. And, in some ways, those fans were right; The creator of Bleach was never overly focused on adding romance to the series.
However, fans can trace back moments which hint towards Ichigo’s romance with Inoue. The latter had a blatant crush on Ichgio during the series , and the Soul Reaper was protective of Inoue. After all, the hero did charge head-first into Arrancar territory to save her after Inoue was kidnapped by Aizen’s guard.
As for Ishida, the fan-favorite fighter was sadly left out of the chapter alongside other warriors like Nel and Grimmjow. Still, it was Bleach ’s sudden marriage bomb that had fans suiting up for Internet warfare.

It does not center around romance and would be unlikely to focus on romance a lot;
Ichigo may have gone to Soul Society to save her from execution and put his life on the line, but that was out of strong friendship and gratitude that Rukia gave him the means to protect his family. Renji almost lost his life and put everything on the line for Rukia.
Ichigo looks like Kaien Shiba; Rukia’s mentor, the guy that she viewed as an older brother and friend, but not as a romantic interest. Even Byakuya himself said so and understood why Rukia would feel friendship towards Ichigo.
6 Ichigo & Orihime Go To Extremes To Protect Each Other. Ichigo literally came back from death for Orihime during his fight with Ulquiorra while in his second Hollowification, all because she cried for him not to die. Orihime also places her body between Ichigo and Acidwire to protect Ichigo.
Rukia was the initial reason why Ichigo and Orihime came closer together and were more expressive of their desire to protect each other. At the same time, Ichigo was the catalyst for Rukia and Renji becoming close again after decades of avoiding each other. Ichigo was not meant to interfere in their relationship as a third party, ...
When Rukia tells Renji the Kuchiki clan wants to adopt her he acts happy but is depressed inside because he predicts they will grow apart. Still, he tries to repress his sadness, thinking that Rukia finally has a family, falsely believing that he was not important to her.
Renji's feelings towards her have always been apparent, as far back as when they were kids. One evening, the two of them were unsuccessfully attempting to catch fish when Renji finally managed to snare one. When he turned around triumphantly, he saw the rest of his friends staring at Rukia longingly.

Beginning its serialization in 2001, Bleach is still a mainstay in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump.
It’s been less than a year since Bleach ended, but fans of the supernatural series continue to grapple with the manga’s end. Having wrapped last August, readers of Tite Kubo’s acclaimed story found themselves blindsided by the manga and its epilogue. With the Thousand-Year Blood War arc done, readers picked back up with Bleach after an extended ...
Soon enough, the story revealed that both Ichigo and Rukia had kids of their own. And, as you might expect, the young Soul Reapers inherited the best (and worst) parts of their parents. As for Ichigo’s kid, Kazui Kurosaki is the only son of the Substitute Soul Reaper.
4 She Relives His Fight Against Ulquiorra. When Ichigo manifests his real shikai, he partially resembles the Vasto Lorde form he had assumed during the battle with Ulquiorra, one in which he had no control of his actions and almost managed to kill Uryu (and may have hurt Orihime as well).

Yhwach blows Yoruichi out of the parapet edge, while Uryu does the same to Ichigo. Thankfully, Orihime appears at the last second with her Santen Kesshun shield, which stops her friends from falling (probably for days, given their location).
They begin as schoolmates, and it's obvious that Orihime has had feelings for Ichigo since this time, but in typical shonen protagonist fashion, he either has no clue about it or simply refuses to discuss it due to adolescent embarrassment. The anime ends with the Fullbring Arc, and the Thousand Year Blood War Arc is focused more on Uryu. In any case, Ichigo and Orihime become closer over the course of events that take them from Soul Society to the Soul King.
