At the end of the anime, shortly after Light's death, Misa is seen standing on the ledge of a tall building alone. Although it is not shown, it is theorized that she committed suicide following Light's death. Following the events of the manga, she commits suicide upon hearing of Light's death.
Misa was going to die young anyway, though she didn't know it. No, she wouldn't. Shinigami get extra life time per people killed and human get the life time a Shinigami owns, if the said Shinigami dies by saving the human (This is how she was still alive in the first place).

Misa passed away on February 14, 2011. Though he never put it into the story itself, Tsugumi Ohba, the writer of the series, has said that she got depressed after Light died and killed herself. She was born on Christmas and died on Valentine's Day. 9 Inspired By Gothic Lolita
While it's not shown, it's heavily implied she jumped off as she didn't want to live in a world without Light. While Misa's death isn't confirmed in the Death Note anime, even if it's strongly implied, it was later confirmed in the manga that she did take her own life.
Misa doesn't die in the anime itself. But then, of course, it's actually a little more complicated than that. Misa's last scene is at the end of the final episode of Death Note. We see her standing upon the edge of a building on her own, on the other side of some safety railing.
There's no clear evidence for the suicide on the roof, but there's really little reason someone would be standing on the edge of a roof, on the other side of the safety railing. this is regarding the anime series, where light dies on Jan 28, 2013 and Misa is standing on a roof in the last scene.

In the manga and anime, Rem tells Misa that she is a female Shinigami.
Ryuk realized that Light had no chance of succeeding without the Shinigami's help so he finally ended the little experiment he started. Ryuk wrote Light Yagami in the Death Note, and Light died, devastated that the Shinigami seemingly betrayed him.
L LawlietHis real name, L Lawliet, is only revealed in the guidebook Death Note 13: How to Read.

Misa Amane'sLight Yagami a.k.a. Kira is Misa Amane's love interest in the Death Note franchise.
Jurassic World: Dominion Dominates Fandom Wikis - The Loop There is a popular theory that the unnamed Shinigami featured in the anime OVA, Death Note Relight 1, is the reincarnation of Light Yagami. However, since a similar-ish Shinigami appears in the manga while Light is still in school, this is debatable.
Manga Misa died on February 14th, 2011. Her cause of death is unknown (may or may not be suicide).
She gave up three quarters of her life but she inherited Rem's lifespan when Rem died saving Misa. So arguably she had a quite long lifespan. Since Rem had her own lifespan plus the ones she adquired from killing the guy Higuchi asked Misa to kill as proof of her being the second Kira, plus Watari's, plus L's.
Her occupation has also changed. In the musical and live-action drama, she is a musician rather than a model.
Though he is not certain, Ohba stated that he thinks he got Misa's name from the word "kuromisa," which means "Black Mass" in Japanese. Misa's last name is Amane, which means "Sound of the Heavens.".
Chapter 33 of the manga, "Removal," was censored in the magazine release due to Misa being blindfolded and tied up. Having evidence that she was the Second Kira, L kidnapped her and held her as his hostage in order to try to find out information about Kira.
Misa was introduced with the Shinigami Eyes, which changed her eye color to red whenever she wanted to see someone's name and how long they had until they would die . However, her Shinigami Eyes are not the only cause of her eyes changing color.
Obata considers Misa to be the hardest character to create in the manga. He said that he found it difficult to get in the mindset of a person who would do absolutely anything for the person they love. Obata felt that Misa would take control while he wrote for the character.
Misa's design was heavily inspired by the gothic style of Lolita fashion, which fit in very well with Death Note 's themes. As her character developed through time, however, her appearance also changed and by the end of the series, Misa didn't keep the same style she once had.
As a Kira supporter, she believes that Light is God so it makes sense that she would do anything for him even if he hadn't avenged her parents. As Light desperately wanted to be a God, he was glad to use her in any way he wanted. Perhaps she should not have put faith in a man that used her and killed thousands of people.
A year before the start of the series, Misa witnessed the murder of her family during an attempted home robbery . The trial against her parents' murderer continued over a long stretch of time, during which opinions that he was falsely accused began to surface. After he was killed by Kira, Misa felt justice had been served, prompting her to become a loyal Kira supporter.
One night, shortly after beginning her modeling career, Misa met an obsessed, knife-wielding stalker. He confessed his feelings to Misa, but upon her rejection, he attacked and attempted to kill her. A Shinigami named Gelus, who had been watching Misa from the Shinigami Realm and had fallen in love with her, wrote down the name of her stalker and killed him, ultimately saving Misa's life.
Misa is a short, slender, attractive young woman with long, straight, golden-blonde hair, most commonly styled with a portion of her hair in pigtails tied with red bands, but occasionally worn loose as well. In the anime, it seems that she was a brunette at one point. In the manga, her eyes are predominantly light brown; however, they have also been shown as green. In the anime, they alternate between light brown and blue. Her eyes turn bright red while using the power of the Shinigami Eyes, which allow her to see a person's name and lifespan above their head. In the games, her eyes are usually light brown but have also been seen as pink. Misa also appears to have black hair in the movie, which she was wearing in pigtails throughout the film.
After gaining a Death Note, she seeks out Kira in order to thank him for killing the man who murdered her family and to offer him her help. Having made the trade for the Shinigami Eyes, Misa learns that the identity of Kira is Light Yagami. After a meeting with Light, she decides to dedicate her life to helping Light however she can, ...
A supervisor states that the section will be cut due to controversies.
Misa is very outgoing and is shown to be quite popular due to her career. She attracts a large crowd while visiting Light near his school. She is hyperactive, impulsive, and otherwise childlike, evidenced by her tendency to speak in the third person. Despite being considered idiotic by many, Misa is shown to have moments of intelligence, such as when she successfully tricks Kyosuke Higuchi into revealing himself to be the Yotsuba Kira. However, even though she is more powerful than Light as Kira, she is very careless in her acts as the Second Kira, which leads to her being arrested and put in confinement on suspicion that she is is the second Kira. As she likely didn't know the Death Note could manipulate victims, and thus mailed the tapes herself; failed to ensure there was no DNA on the envelopes she sent the tapes in; completely ignored Light's order to stay away (as he was already suspected of being Kira) as he predicted L was having him followed.
Despite her typically cheerful personality, Misa has been mentally afflicted by seeing her parents murdered right before her eyes. It is unclear how much the trauma has affected Misa psychologically, but in the films, Rem indicates that Misa went through a deep depression immediately after she discovered the murderer was acquitted of the crime. After the murderer is later killed by Kira, Misa is incredibly grateful, and her intense appreciation and hero-worship initially fuels her actions as the Second Kira. After she becomes emotionally attached to Light, her behavior is strongly motivated by love.
1. When you kill a shinigami you don't get the rest of their lives because in reality Shinigami can't really die. They're pretty much immortal until they sacrifice their lives for a human. When Rem killed "L" and "Watari" Rem just saved Misa from dying from them. Rem didn't give it's remaining life to Misa.
When she regains her memories by Rem telling her Rem states that if Light tries to harm Misa in anyway she will kill him. Misa responds "I don't exactly want to be loved by a Shinigami, and if Light died I couldn't live on without him. There's no way Light would kill Misa-Misa. And why would you go so far for me.".
It may be that the scene from the anime is in the future, because light dies on April 28, 2010, and Misa died on February 14, 2011 (Valentines Day) according to Chapter 110 "How To Read" profiles of the characters.
Edit again: because i remembered i answered a question like this one and someone else helped me realize this, but also in the how to book, misa death is recorded as she died when she got jumped by her stalker. But we know gelus saved her. If anybody notice it says she died 10 years before she met light or at least before his death. Which doesnt make sense unless you think about it in the sense of what happened with mello and shuichiro.
The hand of kira was never defeated because misa was never caught and a deathnote still exist. And the hand of justice and the police, near might have gotten the trouble maker light, but he didnt get misa or her book and he makes that clear in the end too. Meaning near still has work to do as a member of the spk.
She's the nun in the end of the manga. Remember misa is immortal because two deathgods life got transferred to her. She cant die. Thats why her name is bolded when she looks at herself in the mirror and when mikami gets the eyes, she doesnt have numbers under her name.
Misa went to America to recute mikami while light handled takada. Misa is kinda missing from that point on because she is looking for others To pass the power onto and so they had scapegoats and keeps the mass judgements going while light is busy. Four, misa was more of a worshipper of kira.
L's of exactly 12 people to solve the kira case (where Light is the betrayer) refers to Jesus's 12 disciples (where Judas is the betrayer) .
This scene acts as a flash forward to the end of ep. 37 where she is seen riding a train and standing on the same building, while wearing the same outfit:
