In the anime, Honest fights and fatally wounds Leone, but the assassin manages to kill him by crushing his skull. They face each other in the manga as well, but Leone tosses him off a balcony and allows him to be captured by the Revolutionary Army. Honest is then mutilated and tortured to death. 3 Lubbock's Death Is Different
Prime Minister Honest - Punched repeatedly by Leone, crushing his head. (in manga, he was executed by the revolutionary army as punishment for his tyranny) Leone - Bleeds to death after getting shot by Honest.
~ Leone. Leone is a major character in the manga/anime series Akame ga Kill! as well as one of the older members of the assassination group, Night Raid. She excels at gathering information and exercising calm judgement when necessary.
Minister Honest threw Leone off the top of the building causing her to fall down several floors and she seemingly died. However, after the battle between Esdeath and Akame, Leone is revealed to have survived as she follows Honest underground as he tries to escape.
By the time Leone engages in her final battle with the Empire's soldiers, it's already clear that Tatsumi and the others are going to defeat the Emperor. Of course, it also doesn't help that the anime dangles hope in its viewers' faces before confirming that Leone is, in fact, fatally injured.
Since the anime finished before the manga, I saw how Leone died, and felt so disappointed by her death. She got shot multiple times in the stomach by PM Honest, yet after she bashed his head, she didn't seek doctor or do something about her blood loss but went partying for hours and chose to die alone in the slum.
3 Leone Died After A Battle With The Empire's Soldiers Her farewell to Akame gives fans a few seconds of hope that she might make it to the end of the anime— only to rip it away when she reveals her wounds to the other girl.
Leone was a tall woman with short blonde hair, with two tufts hanging from the back of the head, and yellow eyes, she wears a black tube top and shorts with a detchatable sleeves, an overall revealing outfit. As she transforms into her half-beast form, her hair grows longer and develops cat-like ears and paws.
Leone seems to develop some romantic feelings for Tatsumi, calling him "cute" on several occasions, constantly shoving him into her breasts (which could arguably be for comic relief) and at one point, Leone literally "marks" him as her future man. She has also stated that she would not lose Tatsumi to Esdeath.
However, Esdeath easily defeated the 10 teigu users as well as the 100,000 soldiers. For a while, it seemed that everything is lost especially when she managed to shatter Akame's teigu as well. However, Akame stabbed Esdeath right in her heart.
Mine dies after killing Budou. She dies in Tatsumi's arms after confessing her love for him and sharing their first and only kiss.
During her battles, Leone had lost both an arm and one of her breasts but was able to regenerate them. However, the regeneration is not instant, and takes a very long time to finish.
Of the eight notable members of Night Raid throughout the events of the war, only four had survived: Najenda, Akame, Tatsumi and Mine.
LeoneIn the former, Honest is killed by Leone when she crushes his entire face and skull using her own hands, but in the latter, she wounds his body and drags him to the top of the palace before throwing him off to the revolutionaries, subjected to horrific torture while being finally executed.
1. Akame. As evident, Akame is the female protagonist and is shown as the strongest member of the Night Raid in the series. Her major appearance in the series is seen when she made the final blow towards Esdeath's heart!

Their unlikely (and mostly one-sided) relationship was a recurring theme of the narrative, especially since each of them fought on opposite sides of the war. Though Tatsumi refused to acknowledge Esdeath as his romantic interest, he did display some signs of reciprocation.
At the end of the manga, Lionel has also mutated Leone's physical body to keep her alive and made her more lion-like in appearance. Leone herself said that she loves to use sneak attacks, but hates being a victim of them.
She has a very relaxed, upbeat, and cheerful personality, and tends to display a lack of lady-like manners, often seen shoving Tatsumi into her breasts, putting her feet on the table, or consuming large amounts of sake and other alcoholic drinks. She serves as a sort of big sister figure to Tatsumi and younger members in Night Raid, often referring to herself as "Onee-san" or "Big Sis". Despite the morally dodgy nature that she sometimes displayed, Leone is not one to tolerate injustice, and can be especially vicious to those who commit the vilest of acts. She also enjoys fighting her enemies a lot, as said by Najenda who told her that she needs to change that habit.
Najenda asked if he showed promise, which Leone affirms. When Tatsumi was given a choice to become part of Night Raid, he wrongly states they are assassins of justice, which caused them to laugh at him. He asked what was so funny and Leone replied "Tatsumi... No matter how you dress it up, what we're doing is murder.".
After the battle, Akame meets up with her and is about to get medical assistance, but she declines and hugged her, revealing that she was only alive because she fused with her Teigu temporarily. She tells Akame that she wants to choose where and when she dies and then says that Akame is her best friend.
After Night Raid's fight with Stylish, Leone and Tatsumi fought a group of Danger Beasts together. While they were fighting, she was surprised and impressed by Tatsumi being able to use "Neuntote", Incursio's special move, Leone also stated that Tatsumi is coming closer and closer to Bulat.
She is a valuable member of Night Raid and had shown to be quite powerful. She was able to kill 3 men with a single kick as well as killing a large Danger-Beast with a single blow. Once using Lionel's transformation, it was shown that Leone became a deadly fighter.
The two were separated when a gang of men that she had also swindled out of their money came after her , but reunited on time to start their assignment. They enter the targeted building and witness a gang kill a drugged prostitute, a girl who Leone knew from the streets.
The first deaths of Akame Ga Kill happen early on in the anime, with Tatsumi losing both of his childhood friends to a sadistic wealthy family that preys on ignorant travelers. Even though viewers don't see much of Tatsumi's friends, Ieyasu and Sayo, learning of their deaths is difficult — especially when it comes to seeing Tatsumi's reaction.
Lubbock often serves as comic relief during Akame Ga Kill; given how dark the anime can get, it's a role that's much needed. But whenever the comedic character dies, there's always a realization that the show is about to go somewhere incredibly dark. That's certainly the case when Lubbock departs.
Bulat is the first major character to lose their life in Akame Ga Kill, and his death serves as a warning to both the viewers and the other characters. As the series continues, Bulat also inspires Tatsumi to work harder to achieve Night Raid's goals and be a better person. Bulat’s impact carries on long after his life, and that only makes viewers wish they’d gotten to see more of him.
1 Tatsumi. Of all the deaths that occur during Akame Ga Kill, Tatsumi's probably hits the hardest. It's hard to say whether Tatsumi' s final moments are so difficult to watch because Night Raid has lost so much already, or if it's because he's the main character and the one person who never needed to be wrapped up in the rebellion against the Empire.
Although Kurome spends the entirety of her tenure on Akame Ga Kill as a villain, it's difficult not to sympathize with the girl. Even if she doesn't find an issue with the brainwashing and manipulation the Empire has put her through, viewers see pieces of her childhood through Akame's eyes, and it's maddening that the poor girl never really had a chance to be better.
Susanoo joined Night Raid around the same time as Chelsea, and unfortunately, he didn't last a whole lot longer in the series than she did. Given that he himself is an Imperial Arms — essentially making him a living weapon — it takes quite a bit to defeat Susanoo. Fighting against an enemy like Esdeath is always a risky feat, and it's one that costs Susanoo his life.
Akame Ga Kill may be a somewhat older anime, originally airing in 2014, but its story tackles topics that are almost always relevant — from the rich exploiting and preying on the poor to corruption within the government. And given that the series delves into one group's attempts to start a revolution, it's no surprise that many ...
In Naruto Shippen Jiraiya's death is definitely one of the saddest in the series. In episode 133, Jiraiya is battling against his former student Pain. Although Jiraiya puts up a good fight it isn't enough to defeat his student and Pain throws Jiraiya into the water.
B anana Fish is a very intense show meant for the mentally strong, however, even the death of Ash will have anyone weeping for days. In the last episode of Banana Fish, Ash receives a beautiful letter from Eiji with a plane ticket to Japan.
Anohana is a sad anime series about a group of friends and a girl named Menma who passed away tragically. Fast forward to the future, her ghost has come back with a wish. Although in the series Menma's death is never shown, it is implied that she slipped and fell into a river, ultimately drowning.
Light Yagami's demise in Death Note is one that has a lot of meaning. In the last episode of Death Note, after being discovered as Kira, Light gets shot and then he flees in hope of survival. After making it halfway up a staircase Ryuk writes Lights name in the Death Note ultimately killing light with a heart attack.
Maes Hughes's death in Fullmetal Alchemist is definitely one of the saddest. In episode 25 of the original series, Maws Hughes is shot by Envy who is disguised his beloved wife.
The death of this charismatic cowboy is something fans will never forget. At the end of Cowboy Bebop, after the final battle Vicious, Spike is left critically wounded. During his last few minutes, Spike makes his way towards a group of enemies, raises his fingers, and utters his final words "Bang!" before finally meeting his demise.
Leone's death in Akame Ga Kill! is a sad one since she chose to pass away alone. In episode 24, after being shot by Honest Leone fuses with her Teigu to defeat him. After everything is over Leone and Akame (clueless about her injuries) hug as a farewell, then Leone goes into a dark alley and passes away.
After Naruto defeats him in the Chunin exams, the two eventually become friends and see eye to eye. Unfortunately, not too long after their friendship develops, Neji takes a major backseat, being reduced to a minor character that shows up now and then, instead of the powerhouse that he was at the start.
As a means of stopping the powerful 10 Commandments, Denzel Liones offers up his body as a vessel so that the group can summon a high-ranking member of the Goddess Clan, Nerobasta. As soon as the goddess is summoned, though, she refuses to fight.
Anime Character Deaths That Were Completely Pointless. As a whole, Akame ga Kill is a considerably frustrating anime when it comes to how it treats its character deaths. Sure, at first, it was kind of cool to know that no one on the cast was safe, adding real consequence and drama to each interaction.
He asked what was so funny and Leone replied "Tatsumi... No matter how you dress it up, what we're doing is murder.".
Leone was born and raised into a poor family in the slums of the Capital where she had worked in a massage parlor since she was a little girl, at some point in her childhood, her parents died. She was apparently scouted by the Revolutionary Army after saving some orphan children from a group nobles who were abusing them for sport. She was the first member of Night Raid to meet Tatsumi in the beginning of the story, offering to get him into the Imperial Army in exchange for a favor. Taking advantage of his naivety at the outset, she tricks him into treating her to dinner and drinks, and then swindles him out of his money. Later, she reappears and is revealed to be a member of Night Raid. After the confrontation at Aria's mansion is concluded, she recognizes Tatsumi's skills and tells him from now on he'll be a member of Night Raid, serving as a way of paying him back for her earlier conning. Still devastated over the loss his beloved childhood friends Sayo and Ieyasu, Leone shows up to cheer him up and to find out if he thought about joining them, but Tatsumi was still hesitant about accepting her offer. She shows him around the hide-out and introduces him to the other members of Night Raid: Sheele, Mine, Bulat, Lubbock, Akame and Najenda. When she meets Najenda, she tells her that she wants to recommend him as a new member of their team. Najenda asked if he showed promise, which Leone affirms. When Tatsumi was given a choice to become part of Night Raid, he wrongly states they are assassins of justice, which caused them to laugh at him. He asked what was so funny and Leone replied "Tatsumi... No matter how you dress it up, what we're doing is murder." When they were under attack, Leone stated that her Teigu gives her superhuman strength to beat her enemies to death.
Type of Hero. The lifespan of a human is way to short...but that's why it is fun to figure out how to make the most out of it. ~ Leone. Leone is a major character in the manga/anime series Akame ga Kill! as well as one of the older members of the assassination group, Night Raid.
Leone was a very relaxed, sarcastic and cheerful woman, and tends to display a lack of ladylike manners, such as shoving Tatsumi into her breasts, putting her feet on the table, or consuming large amounts of Sake.

Leone is often the one who's seen confirming the validity of the targets in which Night Raid is assigned to assassinate. She is voiced by Yū Asakawa in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Allison Keith in the English version of the anime.
