Palme is a robot crafted from the wood of a rare tree; though he isn't a real boy, he wants nothing more than to please Xian, the wife of his master. Upon the eve of her death, Palme ceases to function, until one night he is brought an egg from a mysterious woman. "The Egg of Touto must be returned to Soma," she says, and vanishes into the night.

Synopsis

Palme is a puppet created by a man to care for his sickly wife. After her death Palme becomes paralyzed with sorrow, that is, until a woman being pursed happens to cross paths with Palme and his creator and ask them to deliver something precious to a sacred place called Tama. Palme, mistaking her for his masters late wife, accepts the request.

What is the tree of palme?

A Tree of Palme is an interpretation of the Pinocchio tale. It concerns a small puppet, Palme, who was tasked by his creator to look over his ailing wife, Xian. After her passing, Palme is visited by a mysterious woman who he mistakenly believes to be Xian. Shaken out of his sadness, Palme accepts her request to deliver something special to a far-off place known as Tama. This sets Palme off on a journey to discover his own emotions, and what it truly means to be human.
