Eren Yeager, spelled Eren Jaeger in the Funimation dub, is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Attack on Titan manga series created by Hajime Isayama. Eren is a teenager who swears revenge on enormous creatures known as Titans that devoured his mother and destroyed his town…
Attack on Titan's antiheroic lead Eren can be hard to get along with, but he'd easily befriend characters across anime series who share his values. Eren Yeager was the main protagonist of the Attack on Titan series.
Attack on Titan fans could not believe their eyes as Eren died at the hands of Mikasa. Fans questioned if Eren would come back to life, and the final chapter of the manga confirmed the protagonist’s fate. Eren remains dead in the last chapter of Attack on Titan.
Therefore Eren will not come back to life. Eren transformed into the founding Titan and died at the hands of the Alliance. Mikasa tightened her scarf and rushed towards Eren for the kill. She sliced Eren’s head off, kissed his severed head, and bid farewell. She brings his head towards Armin as they mourn the loss of their dear friend.
This information was revealed in the second half of the anime's third season (and Chapter #88 of the manga) after the Scouts reclaimed Wall Maria and finally uncovered the secrets within the basement of Eren's childhood home.
Eren learns that he has a limited lifespan as a side effect of being a holder of two of the Nine Titans' power, including the titular "Attack Titan" (進撃の巨人, Shingeki no Kyojin), along with the Founding Titan, only having 8 years left to live.
With the final chapter, Eren's fate has been confirmed. He's died. Chapter 139 of the series jumps back in time to a conversation that Eren had with Armin before his death.
Even after getting his head blasted off, Eren didn't die in the latest episode. Fortunately, he made contact with Zeke before passing out, which teleports them to Paths, where Founder Ymir rebuilds his body, just like she revives Zeke in the first episode of the show. So, Eren is still alive in Attack on Titan.
Attack on Titan Episode 78 saw Eren and Zeke finally reach each other after trying to reunite since the beginning of Season 4 Part 2. However, it wasn't a happy reunion (not that there ever would be one on Attack on Titan) as it came at the cost of several lives and had some gruesome results.
While Mikasa mentions that Jean will ask her to marry him, she clearly says that she doesn't have an answer yet. Attack on Titan fans continue to speculate, and a good number in the community believe that she marries Jean.
As these events are unfolding, Isayama does confirm that Eren and Mikasa love one another. Unfortunately, that isn't enough to secure them a happy ending. And they don't seem any more likely to get one in the anime.

Eren dies at the hands of Mikasa. Mikasa enters the mouth of Eren's Titan form where his actual body is visible and she decapitates him and kissed him goodbye. The penultimate chapter of the series saw Eren pushed to his final moments as he unleashed the full scope of his final Attack Titan transformation.
He himself wouldn't have stopped, which is why killing him was a necessity. This, in turn, means that Eren did not become good again and that he remained a villain until his death, which also answers the main question of this section.
Attack on Titan Episode 78 Come on, Eren! Episode 78 of Attack on Titan sees Eren and Zeke trying to reunite, and even Mikasa and the members of the Survey Corps tried their best to protect Eren in the process.
Similar to witnessing Carla's death, seeing his friends die caused Eren a lot of pain, resulting in him becoming an antagonist. Some of the friends he had for years in the 104th Cadet Corps were killed when the titans invaded Trost.
On a fateful day, an assassin tries to take the king's life, but Ymir sacrifices herself and becomes mortally wounded. The king asks Ymir to heal herself, but she loses her will to live and succumbs to death. The king forces their children to eat their mother's flesh, each earning a facet of the Founding Titan's power.
Eren makes his re-appearance in Chapter 98 of the manga. Currently, the anime has adapted the first 4 chapters (Chapter 91 to 94), i.e, two chapters per episode. It is likely Episode 3 will adapt Chapter 95 and 96 which in the manga is Reiner’s backstory. As seen from the preview, that seems to be the case.
Attack on Titan’s return to the screen was met with mixed reactions from fans. Fans seemed to be extra vigilant regarding the animation quality, sound and adaptation after the news of studio change.
This cameo is merely meant to set a build up to his actions and serve as a surprise for anime-onlys later. But it indeed confirms that Eren is in Marley.
Now, Eren has grown up with death and destruction all around him. That’s the very reason he joins the Scouts – to do something about it. However, the adult version of Eren adopts a more extreme thought process.
In the past, whenever Eren has been in a fix, his comrades have come to his rescue. Even in season 4 , when he launches his attack on Marley, Hange and the crew show up and assist him. But in the last couple of episodes, it has become evident that Eren cares more about the cause than his friends.
Well, the answer is both yes and no. Yes, because Eren is afflicted by Ymir’s Curse, which dictates that a Titan Shifter can only survive for 13 years after inheriting their powers.
In the upcoming episodes, we might see Marley launch their counter-attack as well. The one person at the center of all these conflicts in season 4 is Eren, and his actions have even divided Eldians.
But Eren is only working with his half-brother in order to activate the full power of the Founding Titan, which could elevate Eren to essentially a god-like status. Furthermore, Eren already has the powers of 3 titans so far in the series, including the abilities of the War Hammer Titan and the Attack Titan. So, he has a considerable advantage ...
