The Big Three refers to three very long and very popular anime, Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. The Big Three was a term used to describe the three most popular running series during their golden age in Jump's mid 2000s period - One Piece, Naruto and Bleach.
Which of them deserve to be considered the new "Big 3"? With the “Big 3” making a bit of a resurgence with Bleach's return, One Piece's Wano Arc in its climax, and Boruto's big moments like Naruto's Baryon Mode, many anime fans are debating on what this generation's “Big 3” really are.

The conclusion. In conclusion, One Piece takes the lead over Naruto overall. Both series have strong and weak points, but their popularity is evidence that fans love them for their specific quirks. Nor is it true that there aren't any in the anime community who doesn't love both series.

Realistically, this is an incredibly hard call to make. But the only reason Naruto takes the victory is that it's a much bigger story that's more accessible to a wider audience. Attack on Titan is super cool, but there are a lot of casual viewers who might struggle to get into its more intense plot and story.
In the end, Demon Slayers have it much rougher than Naruto shinobi. Their foes are an entirely different (and superior) class of being, and fighting is the only thing a Demon Slayer ever does.
As of December 2015, One Piece is still the best selling manga of all time, having sold more than 380+ Million copies. Dragon Ball Z is next followed by Naruto with 205 Million copies sold. 3. Both authors confirmed that their target was to beat each other when it comes to popularity and sales.
Naruto is fast-paced ninja violence at its finest. The sparks that fly off the kunai, the swift kicks - every fight scene in Naruto beats any other anime's fight scene from sheer quality alone. Also the phrase "fast-paced" is key (DBZ fans take note). These epic fight scenes prove my point.
Naruto has mastered the art of feels. Sadness, hatred, love, and every emotion ever named is explored in the series. Most anime go for laughs, but Naruto's not afraid to make you think about war, justice, and to explore your feels with a tear-jerking soundtrack that has a custom song for each feel you have.
Naruto is a series about dealing with and overcoming personal trauma that was thrown upon oneself beyond their control.
Like many shonen series, Naruto 's audience is of course first and foremost young children. This impressionable audience, like many young audiences, needs a story with a bit of substance to help stimulate their young minds. Enter Naruto: A story that begins with a young child much like the readers out there that some can relate to.
He believes he will be the best and will not give up until he reaches his goal. Naruto's journey leads him to make tons of friends after this dark beginning and believe that there will be tears along the way of this adventure. The rest of the characters and their great stories have a hand in this as well.
Naruto does something that really almost no other well-known shonen did before it. In its earliest arcs, Naruto introduces almost all of its main characters. These characters are the characters that fans will be going through the series alongside, and due to the nature of the series beginning with childhood and ending with adulthood, growing with as well.
2 THE ARTWORK. Naruto 's mangaka Masashi Kishimoto is one of the most talented manga artists out there and he also boasts some of the most unique art in the manga world. It's easy to spot his patented style no matter where you're looking. Naruto is, of course, no slouch when it comes to this.
7 NARUTO IS INSPIRING. As stated before, Naruto starts off with a very depressing beginning for the title character. However, this isolation and abuse from just about the whole world around him doesn't stop him from chasing the biggest dream in all of the ninja world.
No one will tell you that Naruto has the most complex nor the best plot in all of manga, but that's what makes it so great. While the plot is very basic and makes some missteps that doesn't matter when it's enjoyable as all hell. This plot has sucked in plenty of manga and anime fans everywhere.
"I liked shippuden better but once you re-watch the original Naruto, you would start to understand how brilliant the story was. Initially, I liked shippuden better than the first series because of the better animation.
"As a teen I always thought shippuden was better because of their power ups, new designs, and bigger battles. Now looking back (I'm in my mid 20s now), OG Naruto's story felt more cohesive. Side characters were given proper highlights, there were no spamming sharingan, rinnegan, rasengan, chidori and other S class justus.
"Original Naruto is better imo because the average quality of arcs is better. The War arc took up an enormous chunk of Shippuden and was a straight up bad arc. I'd also say that the Kazekage Rescue arc isn't great. The original has The Land of Waves, Chuunin Exams, Sasuke Retrieval... No competition IMO." – Pescharlie
"Shippuuden for sure. By a landslide. Naruto was ok. Its what drew me in. But after the first fight with Deidara and gaara,, and then Sakura and chiyo vs sasori, I was just wowed. And then it was just stepping it up consistently until the war arc in terms of writing and strategy and suspense.
"I like the animation and music of OG Naruto way more than Shippuden and Boruto. Also I don't think there are any "bad" episodes of OG Naruto. Most of the filler arcs are really good actually. Also, if you want to skip the filler, it's really simple, just stop watching at the end of season 5 and you're all good.
