This in an awful, low-budget adaptation made by a team that I can only assume has no idea what it's doing. It all but makes a mockery of Miura's fantastic manga art. It also lacks the great soundtrack of the 1997 adaptation. The animation is truly awful, with the human characters moving stiffly and awkwardly.
The '97 Berserk anime is generally well-liked by fans for its striking visuals and voice acting, including an exceptionally good English dub for the time. Of particular note is the original score by composer Susumu Hirasawa, whose work has become an inseparable part of the entire franchise's identity.
Likely due to its infrequent use in anime, CGI is usually notoriously low in quality when it shows up in most series. It can likewise be a sign of a cheap, altogether low effort production when it's used to animate the entire series.
Berserk is an incredibly violent and gory anime. Not for the faint of heart. People are killed throughout the series, sometimes in graphic ways, such as being stabbed, cut, shot by arrows, beheaded, or occasionally devoured by demons, cut in half, or set on fire.
Berserk is an absolute masterpiece. And Kentaro Miura is one of the greatest manga creators to ever do it. He has produced one of the most heartwrenching, one of the most profound, one of the greatest works ever crafted. And this analysis is going to be a tribute to him.
Even both of the anime series' have been censored/altered. The closest to the manga have been the Golden Age movies. Alot of people think the western version is censored but this is wrong, its only the JP version that is censored, western version isn't.
Berserk is exactly what it's title advertises, a savage, gruesome, and often darkly funny roller-coaster ride, inspiring the internationally popular anime series. If you're looking for graphic fiction to take home to Grandma, this ain't it—unless Granny smokes cigars and rides a Harley!"
Berserk has been widely acclaimed, particularly for its dark setting, storytelling, characters, and Miura's detailed artwork.
I mean hey, it's not a bad movie. It's actually pretty good. There's a lot if good voice acting, camerawork, and the animation is amazing; but only when they use 2D animation. For some reason, this is a 2D/CG hybrid and the CG is a little less than unimpressive.

Berserk is known for traumatizing its readers, and Casca's fate during the Eclipse is the manga at its most terrifying and heart-wrenching. Instead of devouring her, the Apostles brutally assault Casca before handing her to Femto (a.k.a. a reborn Griffith), who then repeats the process, except worse.
