Anime cringes me out simply because of the bizarre need for every character to add an extension on the end of every other characters name - chan, sama etc - actual Japanese people don't do that shit unless it's needed or expected to be that formal. To many people, anime is represented as a whole by the worst parts of the art.
It’s an emotional response to a scene, character, piece of dialogue, or possibly the way a Banana is drawn. We cringe when we’re really outwith our comfort zone. But it’s a necessary evil in anime in order to help us connect better with other characters.
Well the cringy stereotype is weebs, but so many people watch anime these days, even older people in their 40-s. It has became too mainstream to have only nerdy teens watching it. So part of it ofc, but not all of it lol.
Anime community isnt Cringy TBH , Youll realize it If you see anime yourself, watching same Animes give rise to same feelings and this brings the anime community one step closer to each other which is really a Good Thing ! Thanks for Reading !
The art isn’t just gorgeous, the characters aren’t just realistic, but the anime itself is thought provoking and is built to make you more curious as you watch it. Suicide, mental struggles, dealing with death, it’s all done so creatively, artistically, and in a way so called intellectuals can enjoy. Take another anime like Talentless NANA.

If the fact that that anime is far more widely discussed by people than animation in general is of any indication (from Quora to Youtube), it is very “overrated.” Not to mention, people like anime more from a “I'm an edgy, intelligent teenager/adult consumer” than from a “mature” point of view.
A vastly underrated gem in anime, Baccano! is an impossible to define story with no definitive main character....The order I've put them in isn't a ranking, but instead a recommended watch order, from easiest to most difficult.Cowboy Bebop. The motley crew of the Bebop. ... Monster. ... Ghost in the Shell. ... Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Like Dragon Ball Z and the Zelda franchise, there are many dumb things about Attack on Titan, despite its widespread popularity. Attack on Titan is just one of the most overrated anime of all time, and a cursory examination will prove that it really doesn't deserve all the hype.
Mha is NOT childish, as a fan of mha who's also watched all of Naruto, I can say this honestly. Naruto is a very good anime yes, but so is Mha. Yes its similar, but it is not a 'rip off.

To get over an anime addiction, start by reducing the amount of time you spend watching it every day. Limit yourself to watching only 2 or 3 of your favorite shows, and avoid or delete anime fan sites from your browser favorites to prevent temptation.

like myself, some people are addicted to anime because it's fun, action-packed, comedic, and entertaining, it's like a show that's so good you can't help but watch another episode, and the characters are cute and different.
A Japanophile has a high degree of appreciation for Japanese culture. The terms can be used as synonyms, but often a Japanophile has a broader, more informed interest in Japanese culture whereas a weeaboo has a specific focus on popular culture. Another similar term is otaku.
People think it's cringy because there are popular subgenres that are truly and deeply cringey.
I think it is because people are not always open to new things and because of that when they see Anime, they treat it as something "New" which it is, it is foreign so they haven't grown up seeing it , which leads to them thinking of it as a less desirable experience .
If someone sees you as an anime fan (when they know almost no anime fans) they'll think you're like the unpleasant people they've heard rumors of. In terms of art style, anime tends to be less fluid in animation, more talky, more sexual, and more violent than American cartoons (at least when I was growing up).
To many people, anime is represented as a whole by the worst parts of the art. Nobody's seen Samurai Champloo, but everyone knows what hentai is. Either that, or they don't realize there's anime that's geared towards adult-age viewers. When your first thought is DBZ or Pokemon, it's easy to view something as childish.
It's animated and people believe animation is a medium for children, so people watching anime is, for most people, the same as an adult playing with toys. The community is full of elitist degenerates. Trust me I know, I'm one of those elitist degenerates.
But it is certainly true that for the most part people are reluctant to watch anime without fair reason, but there is no point stressing over it, everyone has their own tastes and if they don't want to give anime a chance then there is no point trying to get them to enjoy it like we do.
Uh.. the annoying voices is actually true in some anime but I don't know what that other stuff has to do with it
When an individual is accused of a crime, from murder to paedophilia to tax evasion, there name is plastered over the news the next day. Now accused does not mean found guilty, only that there is suspicion that requires investigation. However once people have been accused, the media take their name and place it everywhere, which leads people to believe that it is true and they are guilty.
You have Ghost in the Shell (1995) which was hailed by western critics as an incredible film on its own right, Akira from 1988 which was an astoundingly well animated film, and practically all of Studio Ghibli's works which are an incredible take on fantasy with influences from across the world.
It’s not normal. It’s attention seeking and weird. Why would you film yourself (likely on cue) and then replay it, edit it, and upload it for likes? People who do this make me sick. This is a whole other level of narcissism and extremely disturbing behaviour that shouldn’t be rewarded.
Anyone remember when Kim Kardashian tweeted “ I am obsessed with anime”.
Basically: a fake anime fan is someone who uses anime when it’s convenient, but isn’t really part or has interest in the culture.
End of my story, as I was saying the anime community is filled with different types of people. The anime community is not cringe.
There are Animes with 10 episodes, there are Animes with 100 episodes, and there are Animes with 500 and more episodes.
It's not. “Anime” is a rather big term too drastically simplified for what you want to ask. There are thousands of animes out there. In different genres, different settings, different universes, different stories, different characters, different animation, different sound, different different different.
Some animes can be cringe, but it could be the fandom. Such of mha (my hero academia) THE FANDOM IS CURSED. The anime itself is okay but the fandom is something you dont want to get involved in. Some animes deal with true stories and real life problems like suicide, depression, etc. Or its either that anime is something you wont get used to,and thats fine.
