Thus, the Shaddolls are an archetype of Dark Spellcasters that were all once part of other tribes. The deck itself is centered around two often unseen mechanics. First, the main deck monsters and their use of flip summons, granting effects when face down monsters are flipped face up...OR if they’re sent to the graveyard by a card effect.
When flipped face up, Shaddoll Dragon can target a card the opponent controls and return it to the hand. That’s solid enough, but if it’s sent to the graveyard by a card effect, the player can target a spell/trap card on the field and destroy it.
If it’s sent to the graveyard by a card effect, Beast allows it’s player to draw a card. Beast can also tribute off fusion monsters, which can aid the player during mirror matches. Another of Shaddolls big beaters, Squamata stands at 1800 ATK.
Nowadays "Shaddolls" can be run as support with the " Railway " series with " Shekhinaga " (usually with " Kaiju "), " Prediction Princess " for Flip Effect support or the newer " Invoked " Fusion archetype

If it’s flipped face up, the player draws two cards and discards one card from their hand. That card could set off another Shaddoll since it would be sending them to the graveyard by a card effect. If it’s sent to the graveyard by a card effect, Beast allows it’s player to draw a card.
One of the basic monsters to the deck, Shaddoll Hedgehog adds a Shaddoll spell or trap card from the deck to hand if it’s flipped face up. If it’s sent to the graveyard by a card effect, the player can instead add a Shaddoll monster from their deck to their hand other than Shaddoll Hedgehog.
If the card is sent to the graveyard though, it’s even better: the player gets to send one Shaddoll card from their deck to the graveyard, instantly triggering that effect.
