So powerful that they belong in a league of their own, Mihawk and Zoro are the strongest swordsmen in One Piece. One on one, however, the edge goes to Mihawk – after all, there's a reason Mihawk is known as the greatest swordsman in the world.

1. Rurouni Kenshin. Kenshin is the definitive swordsmen in anime, and really sets the standard for what an anime sword fighter should be. In his past life as an assassin, Kenshin killed countless individuals in his quest to fulfill his duty.
However, Levi’s fighting style is somewhat unorthodox based on necessity – in his world, swordsmen fly around on ODM gear that basically works like a grappling hook. Being such, he relies on acrobatic movements to take on his biggest foes.
The OG badass, Sasuke uses a sword in Naruto Shippuden onwards, and uses it to great effect. The sword itself, although only an ordinary sword, acts as a conduit for Sasuke’s incredible power. In addition to his abilities with the katana, he’s virtually unbeatable thanks to his ocular powers and special ninjutsu.
Zabuza is one such character. Not only is he a tremendous swordsmen who wields one of the seven legendary swords of the Village Hidden in the Mist, he also has powerful jutsu like hidden mist, and water vortex, that would probably give him an edge over any more traditional swordsmen.
As we find out late, late into the story, Urahara has top notch abilities. And, for those who are not familiar with Bleach, Soul Reapers like Urahara gain their powers literally from the supernatural realm.
Sword of the Stranger is a great movie with impeccable fighting scenes. It also has some of the most skilled swordsmen in all of anime. Luo-Lang is a foreigner who has traveled the world looking for a skilled opponent.
On this list of insane, superhuman sword masters, Himura Kenshin might feel like the odd one out. The thing is, without Kenshin, there's a good chance that characters that swing around swords might not be nearly as popular today if it wasn't for Rurouni Kenshin.
Oh boy, old man Yamamoto is a doozy. We're sure there are plenty of people who'll disagree with many of the choices we made for this list, but Genryuusai is inarguably the strongest sword user we have ever seen in an anime.
