The wolf and deer hated each other as they both loved the white rabbit, but now, with Louis in a gang and Haru still torn over her feelings, Legoshi is spending more time investigating what happened to his drama club buddy, Tem. Beastars began with the alpaca being eaten, but thankfully, Legoshi is now able to solve the tragic murder mystery.
Riz (リズ Rizu) is the main antagonist of the BEASTARS series and the murderer of Tem the alpaca in Cherryton High. Although he was formally introduced in Chapter 58, he was revealed to be the killer as of Chapter 72 in the Murder Incident Solution Arc after Legoshi confronted him if he had murdered him.
Though Tem has made few appearances, he was shown to be an open-minded individual when he was alive. He was quite sociable among his carnivore classmates, as both Legoshi and Riz have described him as a good friend.
Riz appears to be a kindhearted individual, who was very loved and respected by his classmates. However, he's hiding a dark secret. He unintentionally gave into his predator instincts and ate his close friend Tem.
Season 2 reveals that Tem's killer was Riz, a brown bear who is also part of the drama club and became close friends with Tem in the weeks leading up to his death.
Unable to cope with the guilt of killing his best friend, Riz instead convinces himself that Tem wanted to be eaten, and was even happy about it, stating that "The act was gentle, peaceful, and therefore consensual".
Also, he is the only animal that has respected her and took her seriously despite her promiscuous behavior. Legoshi realized that he is in love with Haru.
Legosi goes home where he finds haru and they share an interesting yet cute interaction. Yet when he wakes he find himself bloodied and haru gone! Turns out it's not blood but tomato juice and haru is fine- but Legosi genuinely thought he killed her- and the shock turns his fur white.
Louis makes a drastic decision - to let Legosi eat his left foot, in order to give him strength to fight. By Chapter 97, Legosi is back in the duel, ready to fight. Riz is astonished, and gives up on the duel as Legosi and Louis has proven the existence of genuine carnivore-herbivore relationships.
It was then that Legoshi confessed to Jack about his lineage being a hybrid animal and grandson to a Komodo dragon. Over the years, Legoshi and Gosha grew more distant as the young wolf he began to secretly blame his grandfather for the loss of his mother.
Juno somehow ended up developing a crush on him after she stopped liking Legoshi and kissed him. Juno and Louis did end up dating, but Louis could not continue seeing her anymore due to his arranged engagement to Azuki. She promises not to forget him, and the two part ways.
Legoshi tells Haru that she needs to stay away from him, but she leaves before he could tell her that when he finishes his duel, they'll meet again. Haru proceeds to stroll down the busy street with Legoshi following her, and the two finally have their first kiss together.
Legoshi, 17 years old at the start of the story but turns 18 years old in Volume 14, is a towering gray wolf.
The scene actually signifies Legoshi's great strength and his love for herbivores. By doing so, he is able to bond with Louis, defeat Riz, and bring closure to Tem's murder. He quickly learns that embracing his instincts does not make him a bad person. Instead, it makes him even nobler.

As a member of the acting team of the drama club, it can be assumed Tem was not as withdrawn as Legoshi. He was not afraid to speak his mind and would bluntly praise or insult with little hesitation. This is one of the reasons he became friends with Riz, as he appreciated Tem's blunt honesty.
Appearance. Tem was a male Alpaca with brown eyes, light skin and a fine, white coat of wool that covered most of his body. In most of his appearances, he is seen wearing his Cherryton School uniform. According to Legoshi, his wool was noted to be remarkably soft like those of many herbivores.

Seeking both revenge and death, he kills the Boss Lion, desperately hoping that Shishi-Gumi will kill him in turn.
Riz, a brown bear and a member of the drama club, killed Tem. Legoshi finds out the truth by comparing the taste of the killer’s saliva to that of every carnivore member of the club.
