Ranking the Pokemon Anime Series
The Most Powerful Pokemon Of Every Type, Ranked According To Strength
The original series of Pokemon is by far the best, and I really enjoyed the Johto saga, however recently Pokemon has gone down hill. The story lines are repetitive and so similar to the original series, and the newest one (Diamond and Pearl) looks to make things worse.
What is the best Main Series Pokémon game of Alltime? Here’s the poll I feel will make everyone vocal. I’ve done many polls before this one and these are the most loved games by the Pokémon community. My pick is B2W2 because content wise it can’t be beat. Legendaries, Sprites, PWT, Story, etc.
It looks way higher quality than any other season. Now, personally, XY/XYZ was the best season. From everything to the companions, rivals, Pokemon, legendaries, evil team, everything, was amazing.

After 26 years of the wildly successful franchise, it's finally revealed that Ash Ketchum caught his first mythical Pokémon before a legendary Pokémon. Both groups are considered extremely rare, but mythical Pokémon holds the title of the most elusive type of Pokémon.
XY: Kalos Quest follows Ash and friends further along on their respective quests. Clemont hopes to invent something that will earn him renown, while Ash is racking up badges in the Kalos league, and Bonnie is trying to find her brother a girlfriend.
Now that Team Galactic has been defeated, Ash can focus on defeating the Sinnoh League, while Dawn wins all the ribbons she needs to compete in the Grand Festival.
In this season, the heroes are forced to take on Team Galactic. In the meantime, Ash faces his rival Paul, and Dawn's Pokémon have a plethora of problems she has to solve.
This season sees Ash and Brock heading toward the Sinnoh region, where they play to take on the Pokémon league. Along the way, they meet Dawn, an ambitious girl who plans to become a Pokémon coordinator.
The future looks bright for Ash as he easily collects Sinnoh gym badges, but May is having a hard time moving forward in competitions. As the two try to move their forward with their goals, they get wind of a new enemy - Team Galactic.
The Indigo League is the first and perhaps most recognizable season of Pokémon. It begins with Ash meeting Pikachu and embarking on his journey toward becoming a Pokémon master, and ends with him taking on the Elite Four.
Ash is back in his hometown of Kanto and back with his old friends Brock and Misty. His goal is to finally take on the Battle Frontier - a task that won't be easy, since he doesn't exactly know where it is.
Diamond and Pearl in the Pokemon series is iconic for so many reasons. The game it’s based on is fantastic, the anime is great with some deep episodes – like when Jessie lets go of Dustox for love, or Pikachu questions evolving again for the first time since Season 1 – and the companions are just outstanding.
But it doesn’t really build on its previous series success. It feels a lot of the same as before and while yes, that does work for Pokemon, there are so many other episodes that really dig deep and give thought-provoking messages, but Johto didn’t really do that for me.
But Pokemon is great in so many ways, one of which being that they constantly update their regions, characters, stories, and new Pokemon with each new series that the game takes on, revolving around the corresponding game release. But, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t at all very different from each other. So here, we are going ...
Pokemon Season 2: Adventures in the Orange Islands. Charizard, Pikachu, Ash, Pidgeotto, Lapras and Squirtle in the second season of the Pokemon anime. A lot of Pokemon fans dislike Adventures in the Orange Islands with a passion but I like it so much that it's actually my sixth favorite season!
Pokemon Season 7: Advanced Challenge. Pikachu, Ash, Max and May ready to swim in the seventh season of the Pokemon anime, Advanced Challenge. The Pokemon Company. Continuing their journey in the Hoenn region, Ash, May, Max, and Brock had a few adventures in Advanced Challenge but none of which really stood out as that memorable.
Pokemon Season 14: Pokemon Black and White. Pokemon Season 14 Black and White. The Pokemon Company. The 14th season of the Pokemon anime, Pokemon Black and White once again saw a major refresh in the look and feel of the show.
While previous journeys to new regions would see a mix of new and old Pokemon, when Ash and Pikachu traveled to Unova, with the exception of Pikachu and Meowth, every Pokemon they encountered was an Unova native. Even Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy got a new look!
Updated January 11, 2019. Ash, Pikachu and their friends have been discovering the world of Pokemon for decades and have explored over six regions.
It's set in an area called The Orange Islands . It provides a great change of scenery and storyline with Ash not training for a Pokemon League but instead being on a serious mission for Professor Oak with Misty to deliver a mysterious Poke Ball to him.
Max, May, Ash, Pikachu, Brock and Professor Berch in the sixth season of the Pokemon anime. The Pokemon Company. While The Johto Journeys benefitted from the new creativity a new region brings, Pokemon Advanced also benefitted and then some . The sixth season of the Pokemon anime saw a total refresh of the visual style of the show.
Pokemon Journeys ' funniest, most off-the-wall episode, really pushed the suspension of disbelief. The two stories included a Magikarp Jumping contest reminiscent of the 2017 app that ends with Goh's Magikarp in orbit and a trip to an island of Slowpoke, where Slowking's Shellder crown changes everyone's personalities.
When Ash and the group come across a bunch of wild Pikachu who quickly accept Ash's as one of their own, Ash prepares to say goodbye, believing it to be in Pikachu's best interests to be with his own kind -- but Pikachu won't let that slide, and refuses to leave his side.
Bulbasaur is mistaken for a toad or frog. In reality, it's a dragon with a seed on its back. Its true importance in the team is its adorable design, and if it evolves into Venusaur, that cuteness would be replaced with raw power. Bulbasaurs also make an appearance in Detective Pikachu.
There may be stronger Pokémon (even among Ash's mains,) Pikachu's importance has never declined. It has always been there for Ash. This years-long friendship began when Ash received his first Pokémon from Professors Oak's Laboratory. Pikachu, at first, was rebellious about being with Ash.
Alain's Charizard can even Mega evolve into Mega Charizard. Now for the real question, Alain's Charizard vs Ash's Charizard: who would win? Both of them have done some impressive feats and won many fights against powerful opponents. Alain's Mega Charizard was able to defeat 10 mega evolved Pokémon in one sitting.
XYZ anime is the best, and for so many reasons: 1 The Pokegirl has some kind of history with Ash 2 Animation quality hasn’t been better 3 Ash finally reaches the league finals 4 He finally caught a pseudo legendary and evolved it 5 Team Flare was awesome 6 Ash finally beat a champion (But took 3 tries to defeat Diantha) 7 At this time, Ash was in his prime 8 Alain and Sawyer were incredible rivals
Ash also had one of his strongest teams with Ash-Greninja, Goodra (his first fully evolved pseudo and his only Pokémon to never lose a battle), Talonflame, Hawlucha, and Noivern. Team Flare might’ve been lackluster in the games but they were amazing in the anime.
I've always thought it was funny that the kid protag in each Pokemon game somehow captures legendary Pokemon that are quite literal godlike incarnations of natural phenomena. It wasn't until I finished the main storyline of PLA that it struck me - legendaries are immortal.
That old lady gets me everytime, I just want to see what her stock looks like or maybe if I'd like a new color or style today and poof $500. Didn't even get a new style she mugs me right up front and I think to myself that damn woman. She knows the tricks of the trade and I can't help but feel both absurdly bamboozled and impressed.
