"Accelerator" ( 一方通行 アクセラレータ , Ippō Tsūkō (Akuserarēta)?, lit. "One-Way Road") is the thirteenth episode of the second season of the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun anime series and the 37th episode of the series overall.
Toaru Kagaku no RailgunAccelerator first appears in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, where during another session of brutally killing a Misaka clone, he meets an enraged Misaka Mikoto who tries to get revenge on him after she witnesses him killing Misaka 9982.
Animation wise, it is, without a doubt, an absolute masterpiece: characters design, backgrounds, action scenes, facial expressions; absolutely beautiful. Sound wise, if there is an English dub one day, I would still highly recommend you to watch it subbed; there is only one Accelerator and it is Okamoto Nobuhiko.
Suzushina YurikoToaru Gakuen no Index Here, Accelerator appears as Suzushina Yuriko, He is using Redirection when he accidentally bumps to Touma as he is carrying books, leading to a prolonged gag of him crashing into several objects.
While A Certain Scientific Accelerator is essentially a spin-off of the original Magical Index series, in theory, you can watch it before the main anime. However, it is not recommended to do so. The characters appearing in the spin-off will not seem as interesting as they should if you decide to skip.

These abilities aren't exclusive for one user like devil fruit powers. The strongest of the level 5's is called Accelerator. He's the only known user of the rare "Accelerator" ability therefore he was named after this esper ability. The "Accelerator" ability is the strongest of all esper abilities.
There are a number of elements that make A Certain Scientific Railgun an excellent viewing experience. Everything from all that is Academy City, the characters and supporting cast, (English dub) voice acting, soundtrack/score, character design, animation and the lore are all fantastic.
Regardless of quality, Index is still the main series. Railgun might handle certain arcs (and characters) better than Index, but the latter is more relevant when it comes to worldbuilding, plot development, and character follow-up.
According to Tree Diagram, only Accelerator can achieve Level 6. As such, it was later calculated that Accelerator can achieve Level 6 if he kills clones of Misaka Mikoto, known as Sisters, 20,000 times in battle.
In the last episode of season 3 of the anime A certain magical index, Accelerator who is an esper turned into an angel.
Accelerator has to rely on a choker-style electrode connected to the Misaka network. The Calculation Assistance Device (演算補助デバイス, Enzan Hojo Debaisu?) is a device used by Accelerator.
Ever since taking the Power Curriculum Program, and realizing his powers, Accelerator was sent to a "special class", most likely, the Special Ability Institute, and spent much of his childhood there until age nine, before being moved into another special class. Both of these had him as the only student.
After some time, Accelerator was discovered by Kihara Amata, who trained him in how to control his powers and influenced him enough for Accelerator to adopt his personality. It can be assumed that the Dark May Project started after Accelerator acquired the cool personality he now has from Amata.
Touma uses the logic that if the weakest Level 0 (Touma) can defeat the strongest Level 5 (Accelerator) then the experiment will fall apart , as the prevailing condition that Accelerator is the strongest esper would be nullified. File:Final punch.jpg.
Aiho tries to come close to Accelerator, though because she is injured, blood spurts from her mouth, and is restrained by Ryouta. Luckily, Aiho was able to survive, and tries to stop Accelerator after she comes to.
In Volume 22’s afterword the author states that what Accelerator wants most is not a lover but a family, and states Last Order is like his child he has to take care of. Also in Volume 22, Misaka Worst said half-jokingly she wants the same fatherly treatment he gives to the other Misaka clones.
While fighting, he invokes fear and has a sadistic tone. He willingly joins the SISTER experiment to gain a reputation as the most powerful and feared psychic so that no one would dare be foolish enough to challenge him and won't hesitate to kill any who get in his way. The Sisters' memories of his behavior during the experiment may suggest that he is, in a way, a pacifist; because his power won't disappear, the only way he sees an end to the fighting is to be so strong and sadistic that no one would dare to raise a finger against him. He even seems to attempt to frighten the Sisters out of fighting or otherwise encourage them to refuse their battles.
This is caused by his ability, as it blocks ultraviolet rays, thereby preventing his body from producing melanin. His ability also has an effect on his hormones, as he stated in both the novel and manga series that it was because of his power he has "...this genderless body," although there is definite evidence stated throughout the series that he is a boy. In the novel/manga/anime, when Last Order asked him "Then are you male or female?" he gave the equivocal answer, "Can't you tell?" While in the novel he is shown to have a slim, androgynous body, a bathing scene depicted him as bare-chested and obviously male.
Academy City stands at the forefront of scientific and technological progress, best known for their development of espers: those capable of wielding superhuman abilities that alter the rules of reality. The most powerful among them are the Level 5s, and the one known as Accelerator reigns supreme, even after being weakened by a severe brain injury.

His voice actor, Nobuhiko Okamoto, won twice in the Annual Seiyuu awards for his role as Accelerator. He first won Best Male Rookie in 2008 for his role in Index, and he also won Best Supporting Actor in 2010 for Index II. These achievements were both pointed out in the Index-tan specials.
5, his brain gets damaged, and he has to rely on a choker-type electrode that connects him to the Misaka network. The brainwave network allows him to use language, as well as making up for his lost ability to make calculations, although it is stated that it's less than half of what he once had. Furthermore, the network enables Accelerator to reflect ultraviolet rays even when he isn't in esper mode. When using the network in esper mode, the battery of the electrode only lasts fifteen minutes. That changes in when he joins GROUP and its technical team cranks his time up to thirty minutes. He does not need the Misaka Network to use his abilities when in his awakened state.

He also seems to have an affinity for black and white-themed clothing, which is a famous brand. When he is enraged or excited (such as when fighting a strong or amusing opponent e.g Kamijou Touma in the Sisters Arc) he breaks into a wide grin and laughs, giving him a maniacal and sadistic appearance.

Accelerator ends up fighting Kihara Amata in order to save Last Order during the invasion.
Magic: Accelerator has demonstrated the ability to use magic. In Vol. 22, he used his vector ability to interpret the song used by Index to save Last Order and repeated the breathing method, casting the spell. As this was a pure magic spell, he suffered serious harm but saved Last Order.
He does not need the Misaka Network to use his abilities when in his awakened state. He is shown to be far stronger than any other Level 5 in Academy City, being able to easily defeat the "Awakened" #2 Level 5 esper Kakine Teitoku without awakening himself.
For defensive use, Accelerator subconsciously establishes a filter that analyzes everything as harmful or not, and uses his reflect to push away anything that could harm him.
Accelerator's vector manipulation has a variety of uses, including crushing the earth around him. Earthquake Generation: By altering the vector of force applied to the ground by his feet, he causes a little explosion made of earth and rocks to attack his opponents.
Accelerator could also come from the vector quantity of acceleration, which refers to a body's change of velocity over time, where Accelerator has shown that he can "accelerate" a body at rest, for example, the still pebble that Accelerator kicked towards Kamijou Touma being accelerated towards a dangerous speed.
Ippō Tsūkō (Akuserarēta)?, lit. "One-Way Road") is the ability that is exclusively used by Academy City's first ranked Level 5 and strongest esper, which is also his namesake, the Accelerator.
He was also able to re-direct Misaka's Railgun. It is the default and the most basic use of Accelerator's power, allowing him to be protected from nearly any sort of attack, and he even boasts that with it he is able to even withstand a nuclear missile, shock-wave, heat, and radiation.
It is self-evident that the ability requires a great amount of calculating power from the esper, as it requires for Accelerator to take into account several vectors that he wants to redirect, and when activated, several variables are present when manipulating and controlling vectors.
However, due to the nature of his power and Accelerator's massive calculating prowess, Accelerator can change the rules of his filter system. Finally, like all supernatural phenomena, the Imagine Breaker can bypass the field that protects Accelerator, though it is not known if he can negate the field.
Inside the facility, Accelerator meets an old acquaintance of his, Yoshikawa Kikyou whom he asks for equipment and instructions to help Last Order.
Saraku says that Accelerator won't abandon the hostage as evidenced by the fact that he wouldn't have come to School District 23 in the first place to stop the Hikoboshi II. Accelerator, having now dubbed him as Kill Point, says to Saraku that he has no aesthetics of a villain and points his gun on him.
However, Accelerator calls Kakine a fool, saying that no matter how he diffracts sunlight, it doesn't change its nature into something like a beam of light that kills. Kakine says that would be the case for normal physics of the world, but not for his Dark Matter.
Touma, using the logic that if the weakest Level 0 (Touma) can defeat the strongest Level 5 (Accelerator) then the experiment will fall apart, as the prevailing condition that Accelerator is the strongest esper would be nullified. Touma defeats Accelerator.
Accelerator encounters Misaka Worst. Accelerator also has an encounter with one of the new Level 4 Misaka clones, dubbed Misaka Worst, where he learns of Crowley's plans to make a new network with the new line of clones, and eliminate Last Order who has now become obsolete.
Aiho tries to come close to Accelerator, though because she is injured, blood spurts from her mouth, and is restrained by Ryouta.
After Accelerator wipes out their main force, they find info on DRAGON, a mysterious force. When Accelerator tried to get close to the 5 remaining members of Spark Signal to gain information on DRAGON, the bodyguard of Director Shiokishi killed the remaining members and told Accelerator to stay out of Shiokishi's businesses if he doesn't want to regret it.

The organization aims to misuse the Last Order for a dangerous mission and are on the pursuit of a young girl. Accelerator and his new partner, Rosenthal, must protect the Last Order and defend the Academy City. Originally Written By Epic Dope.
Can you Watch Accelerator before the main series? While A Certain Scientific Accelerator is essentially a spin-off of the original Magical Index series, in theory, you can watch it before the main anime. However, it is not recommended to do so.
