Kiss x Sis can be described in pretty much a single sentence: a guy named Keita and his two step sisters Ako and Riko doing horny and perverted things to each other around the clock, solely because they want to. That's all. That's all it needs to be. What makes Kiss x Sis stand out is that for once it is actually hot.
Sure, the plot is limited to a bunch of extremely sexual scenes and the characters don't have much depth, but Kiss x Sis is able to succeed where other anime like it have not. I've watched plenty of harem/ecchi anime and have really enjoyed some of them.
On top of that there is no supernatural or technological premise that forms the harem: its just good old fashioned teenage hormones. In Kiss x Sis the parents actively encourage the semi-taboo relationship between Keita and his step sisters. On top of that the parents are super affectionate towards each other (to put it mildly).
However, when Keita likens a kiss from Ako as a penalty game, Ako gets mad and corners him, eventually making him do a wrong answer so he would have to take the penalty game. They hint at going further, but are stopped by Riko, who had been learning how to prepare food for Keita, though it ends up tasting bad.
