Alice In Borderland is one of those very rare new shows, that isn't based on a superhero or other franchise that I have genuinely enjoyed so much. Alice in Borderland has the fun factor and visuals present to make it worth watching.
Alice in Borderland's story is more plot-driven, more games-centric; there is no giant piggy bank or prize money, just a quest to survive and escape the mysterious Borderland. It's escapism loaded with entertainment, but Squid Game's story packs more depth, so the South Korean series wins this one.

Netflix's Alice in Borderland is a Fun and Riveting Dystopian Horror.
ALICE IN BORDERLAND is a new Netflix sci-fi survival series from Japan based on a graphic novel. This new series features a lot of interesting characters and a lot of blood and violence.
The story follows a group of three friends who suddenly awaken in a completely different alternate world. At first they think it's all a dream or a joke, but they soon realize that the only way to survive in this world is to participate and win deadly survival games.
And a bloody good start it is, because I love the shit out of the manga. The everloving crap out of it. So they would have had to make this all CGI, unfaithful and make it look like absolute fucking shit for me to hate it. Fortunately, there is no shitty ass CGI (That I remember), it's faithful, and it looks good.
Netflix made an live-action adaptation of the original work (filmed and made in Japan, Netflix is only the producers and distributor) if anyone is interested. Imo it's really good with acting, production and world building. It is confirmed for a 2nd season.
