Do You Need To Watch Haikyuu In Order? In my opinion, you have to watch Haikyuu in order to get a better understanding of the show, but technically, you don’t have to watch the movies and the OVAs to follow the storyline. OVAs describe what happened in the seasons in detail to help you understand the story in-depth.
10: Haikyuu!! To the top (Season 4 Part 2) Aired from: 2 nd October, 2020, to 18 th December, 2020. No. of episodes: Twelve Episodes. Karasuno High made it to the nationals.
Haikyuu!! Movie 4: Concept no Tatakai Release date: 29 th September, 2017 In this movie, the Karasuno High Volleyball team defeats the Aoba Johsai team and goes up against Shiratorizawa Academy for the final match. Shiratorizawa Academy has the champion ace, and this team is a powerhouse in itself.
The finale episode of Haikyuu!! To The Top showed how the boys of Karasuno reacted to their surprise victory against Inarizaki. While a fifth season of the anime has yet to be confirmed as of this writing, the final episode of the fourth season made some major teases as to what we'll see whenever the anime does decide to return for a fifth season.
Haikyuu season 4 left off at the part where they were about to begin the match with Inarizaki. If you want to start reading the manga where the anime left off, I'd suggest starting at the chapter “Cacophony and Silence”, which marks the beginning of the Karasuno vs. Inarizaki match.
Safe to say, Haikyuu will not be ending with Season 5. The Haikyu manga officially concluded in chapter 402 and with Haikyuu Season 4 only starting with Chapter 207 and stretching up to Chapter 292, there is plenty of content left to adapt – probably for a Haikyuu Season 6 too.
Yuna Hinata (Japanese: 日向 友奈 Hinata Yūna) is the coach of Senbonzakura High`s volleyball club. She is also an alumnus and former player on the team, playing as a libero. It is unknown what year she married Keishin Ukai, but it is known that she is 36, looking to be much younger than her appearance.
If you have finished Season 4 of Haikyuu (also known as Haikyuu: To the Top Season Two), then you can jump on in at Chapter 291. The good news is that the manga has ended and there is only about 100 or so more chapters until you finish it up.
There is a total of 4 seasons of Haikyuu. 4th season is divided into two parts and 5 OVAs of Haikyuu. The story of all the seasons and the OVAs highlights the achievements and problems the Karasuno High Volleyball team and Hinata face to realize their dream of being a part of the nationals.
I briefly mentioned all the Haikyuu seasons, OVAs, and the movies in a simple chronological order. Now it’s time to go through the brief storyline of each so that you may know why this show is worth every second of your time.
In my opinion, you have to watch Haikyuu in order to get a better understanding of the show, but technically, you don’t have to watch the movies and the OVAs to follow the storyline. OVAs describe what happened in the seasons in detail to help you understand the story in-depth. But you can watch the four seasons only to get the general storyline.
Haikyu!! started out as a shonen sports manga by Haruichi Furudate. The series ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. There were 402 chapters, divided up into 45 tankobon volumes. The anime started in 2014. So far, there have been 85 episodes in four seasons: First season, 25 episodes, originally aired in 2014.
First season of the anime: It begins with the Karasuno High Team Formation Arc (episodes 1-14), and ends with the Interhigh Arc (episodes 15-25). (Each episode is equivalent to several manga chapters.) Karasuno High’s ‘Little Giant’ inspires junior high school student Shoyo Hinata to become a volleyball player.
Tokyo Expedition Arc (chapters 72-96) Spring High Preliminary Arc (chapters 97-206) Tokyo Nationals/ Tokyo Finals Arc (207-369) Final Arc (370-402) These titles aren’t official, and there’s some argument over where one ends and the next begins. But, they do help, especially with the manga.
Shoyo, Kageyama, Nishinoya, and Tanaka must pass their exams before they can go. Hitoka Yachi is introduced; she becomes the manager of the team. The team wins its first match at the training camp, but Shoyo wants to be able to improve and compete by himself. Kageyama seeks advice from Oikawa.
Anime and Manga. Haikyu!! is not the first volleyball anime series ever, but it is undoubtedly the best. It has everything that you might want or expect from a shonen sports series. Start with a plucky, determined underdog shonen anime hero (combine Naruto Uzumaki’s attitude with Ichigo Kurosaki’s hair) and add in his arrogant ‘I’m better ...
As of June 2021, a fifth season of Haikyu!! has not been announced yet. At the end of the fourth season, the creators dropped hints that there might be a fifth season. The manga has officially ended, but there is still plenty of manga material which could be adapted into a fifth season.
With relatively short seasons, and an overarching high school sports competition theme, you might assume that Haikyu!! story arcs aren’t really that important to enjoying the anime series . But fans have come up with the following arc titles for the manga chapters:
So... Who decides which team should switch to their alternate uniform in a tournament? In the match against Inarizaki, Karasuno switches to their second uniform because they both had similar color themes. But why did it have to be them?
