Chizuru- You often get frustrated at kazuya for not usually being able to anything right with chizuru and you often think about how’d you’d do much better in his situation.
Guys do any of you know when chapter 200 will come out (ps i'm italian so the drop time could be different).
Wow. I can't believe I almost skipped out on this. From the scores/reviews on MAL, I really thought that this show would just be some cheap harem with no character development, romance, and actual substance. Yeah, the MC is annoying at times, but he's definitely improving.
Is Rent a really shy girlfriend a side story to the manga with different characters & Sumi or does it have to do with Sumi & Kazuya? by the way I am only on volume 7 so if my answer lies within that volume then please don't spoil anything for me!
Kodansha published an anthology of the series on August 17, 2020. A spin-off manga series, titled Rent-A- (Really Shy!)-Girlfriend (彼女、人見知ります, Kanojo, Hitomishirimasu), also written and illustrated by Miyajima, has been serialized in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app since June 21, 2020. Kazuya Kinoshita is a college student who is dumped by his girlfriend after a month of dating. To cure his depression, he rents a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara, but is dissatisfied by how inauthentic she acts. Their second date consists of him calling her out, which leads to her revealing her true colors.
When Kazuya returns from the bathroom, he sees that Mami is sitting at their table. While they are alone, Mami tells him that he is a more of ladies' man than she thought. Once the date is over with, Kazuya praises Sumi. At her house, a jealous Mami finds out that Sumi is a rental girlfriend.
After the confrontation, Kazuya continues to follow Ruka. Just as she is about to trip down a flight of stairs, Kazuya grabs her in order to break her fall. When he begs Ruka to not say anything, she reveals she is a rental girlfriend as well. Kazuya later tells Chizuru this, much to her annoyance.
When he questions why she is a rental girlfriend, she uses hand signals to reveal her answer. Sumi thanks Kazuya after he stopped her from getting harassed. It is then revealed that Mami was watching them. When Kazuya returns from the bathroom, he sees that Mami is sitting at their table.
While they are alone, Ruka asks Chizuru if she is a rental girlfriend. When Kuribayashi goes to the bathroom, Ruka asks Kazuya and Chizuru to kiss. Chizuru pretends to kiss Kazuya , but Ruka is not convinced. Kazuya then pretends that Chizuru has to leave to visit her grandmother.
While he is alone, Kazuya runs into a girl. The following Saturday at a free climbing gym, Kuribayashi introduces his girlfriend named Ruka Sarashina, the same girl Kazuya previously ran into. Later, Ruka invites Chizuru upstairs. While they are alone, Ruka asks Chizuru if she is a rental girlfriend.
Rent-a-Girlfriend hasn't been published for that long in the West, but the company responsible for the manga is Kodansha. So far, a total of three manga volumes have been published in English, with the fourth being slated for December.
The chapters are incredibly light, unlike with some manga series that have 50- page chapter counts. Most chapters of Rent-a-Girlfriend can be completed in just a couple of minutes, which is one of the reasons it's a weekly series.
6 Ruka Is Different. Ruka is portrayed a bit differently in the manga than she is in the anime. For starters, the manga has a whole chapter dedicated to talking about her heart condition and how it has affected her life thus far. Secondly, Ruka has a much more childish character in the manga than she does in the show.
One of Kazuya's defining character traits in the manga is that he is a huge aquarium enthusiast. At the aquarium, he gives out tons of facts about the fish, much to the surprise of his dates, and his app username revolves around aquariums.
The Rent-a-Girlfriend anime was one of the hottest romance shows of the summer and left fans with tons of questions. Understandably, many have started to look into reading the manga in order to find out what happens to Kazuya. Many fans have presented the manga to be the superior version of the story and are already much farther ahead ...
Rent-a-Girlfriend is no different, and several bits of content have been either left out, changed, or altered. One of the biggest things new readers notice is that the first chapter of the manga is a bit different than the first episode of the anime and that there is more content in the first few pages of the manga.
The series does not have an ending yet, and more chapters are currently being written. While many viewers probably want to know who Kazuya is going to end up with, the manga hasn't even revealed this fact.
