I think the ending was well-built-towards and everything that happened was deserved and appropriately executed. Compared to most fantasy media of any from I can think of, I think aspects of the Claymore endgame are better designed. Here's my logic

The story revolves around a young claymore named Claire who is no 47 among the claymore and also her objective is to kill an awakened being called Priscilla (awakened ones are extremely dangerous as they not only retain intelligence but also are extremely powerful yoma who are capable of defeating high ranked claymore)
The Claymore anime series is based on the manga series of the same name by Norihiro Yagi. The episodes are directed by Hiroyuki Tanaka and produced by Madhouse Studios. They adapt the first through eleventh volumes of the manga over twenty-four episodes.
In the end, all of the survivors travel south. On their way south, Miria, Deneve, Helen and Clare rescue an Awakened Being Hunting Party fighting Riful of the West, recruiting Claymores for her plan. Clare remains behind after the other three escape.
Claymore does have quite a bit that's good. A lot of the characters are well done, the premise is interesting, the acting is largely good and the action scenes are awesome. However, it also has a lot of issues....Reviews.Overall9Story9Animation9Sound9Character91 more row

Every storyline in the Claymore manga series feels like it could have spun out of Berserk. To its credit, the show manages to stand on its own and explore areas that even Berserk did not tread. While the anime is fairly short and has a different ending, it does the manga justice.
I just realized that the anime Claymore is a complete rip-off of the Witcher. Medieval setting, group of emotionally- devoid mutated assassins trained specifically for killing monsters, protagonist wanders from town to town taking on contracts. Even down to the features of the protagonist : silver hair and yellow eyes.
He managed to withstand multiple cuts from Ophelia's blade without faltering. After seven years of training under Isley, Raki's abilities have grown greatly. He is fast enough to cross a moderate amount of distance and strike a yoma before it could react and is strong enough to deflect its attack with an armed guard.

Yet another anime that stopped following the manga is Soul Eater . Soul Eater was a brilliant series loved by countless fans. But when they opted to change course during the second season, fans couldn't help but be disappointed by that fact.
Deadman Wonderland got a total of thirteen episodes, which seems pretty solid at first. But consider that the material really only used five volumes worth from the manga. Meanwhile, the manga lasted thirteen volumes.
Fullmetal Alchemist was a massively popular series (still is, actually). But then things took a turn when the anime decided to go ahead and finish up without the manga. The two series didn't end up being anything alike in the end, with the anime losing a lot of the logic and character that had made fans fall in love with the series.
In fact, the series became so infamous for not following the manga that it was essentially canceled for that reason.
The first season of Black Butler was decently faithful to the original content, but the second season wasn't even close.
Claymore was a brilliant anime and manga, yet there's one major thing that held the anime back from being a fan favorite. The ending. This is a classic (and arguably most talked about) case of the anime ending the series in a completely different manner from the manga. Arguably, the anime ending was pretty awful.
