I tried to watch this, really. I'm honestly surprised I got as far in as I did. But oh god the lack of a plot, or any redeeming quality for that matter. Absolutely nothing made any sense to me and I could not even pretend to believe that this story was realistic in ANY WAY.

Your statement lacks percipient. Haru's intentions towards Shizuku have never been violent. They lack a sense of conscience and contain a large amount of juvenility, but he's nothing more than a misunderstood flower with subjective mental illnesses. Which I believe is why Shizuku stayed with him for as long as she has.
