The anime is just an overall great story of a high-school romance blooming at the end of the school year. I cant go in depth of the characters and what the story might be trying to say. Its isn't a generic romance anime, you don't know which ships are gonna sail and which is gonna sink, just like REAL LIFE.
The characters in this show embarks on that journey and takes the viewers with them. For that reason, Just Because is worth watching as it explores high school relationships, making memories, and discovering what life really means.
Will there be a second season of the anime? As of March 2021, at the time of writing, Pine Jam or any related company has yet to renew the series for a second season. The anime's first season aired in 2017 and was later adapted into the novel series.

Eita Izumi has come back to his hometown after four years and encounters some unlikely acquaintances: Haruto Soma, Eita's childhood friend; Ena Komiya, the photography student who witnesses Eita and Haruto's reunion; Mio Natsume, whose feelings for her middle school crush still linger; and Hazuki Morikawa, a girl who seems uninterested in romantic relationships.
