The next Star Wars film, the first new one after the conclusion of the nine-episode Skywalker saga, will hit movie theaters on Dec. 16, 2022. That means there will be a three-year gap between Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Lucasfilm’s next Star Wars movie.
