While romance isn't the core of this story, it's clear that Kaku has plans that aren't entirely platonic for the pair. In Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku Volume 6, Kaku spends even more time explaining how the island works. Tenzen can be killed, but to maintain their near-immortal status, they consume tan.
There are a few upcoming adaptations, including the fan service-heavy World's End Harem, which is one of Jump+'s oldest-running series.

With 16,510 votes, Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku came in 11th place in the Web Manga Category of the Next Manga Awards 2018, organized by Niconico and Da Vinci magazine. The series came in fourth on Honya Club's Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2018 list, compiled by surveying 1,100 professional bookstore employees in Japan.
However, Kaku admitted that this has caused him to unconsciously hold back creatively by thinking objectively like an editor. Kaku created details and backstories for every character in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, regardless of whether or not they were actually included in the series.
The editor gave Kaku free rein as far as illustrations were concerned. Sakakibara said that from the first chapter the series has had "extreme" illustrations, which has resulted in popularity among readers, but made it hard for new readers to get into.
One of the primary purposes of an anime adaptations is to serve as an advertisement for the manga series. Combined with other marketing campaigns, manga series receive a significant boost to their sales.
Rather, if you can find the numbers, it'd be best to compare Jigokuraku with these series pre-anime, or compare them to other series who didn't have an anime as of 2020: Blue Lock, Gokushufudou, Record of Ragnarok,Blue Period, etc. Do not compare with "viral" manga series.
While Jigokuraku is not " viral" like these series, that does not mean it's unpopular: like the numbers show, it has a sizable, consistent following in terms of views and sales. Numbers and popularity don't guarantee a good adaptation.

The historical realism makes the characters’ motivations and behaviors more believable. Each character has a unique fighting style and techniques that fit their backgrounds and experiences. Ninjas are trained to fight more covertly, whereas samurais like to face their opponents head-on.
The combination of a great cast of characters and a very unique philosophical battle system makes Hell's Paradise 's fights unpredictable and exciting. Hell’s Paradise has the potential of becoming a breakout hit if it's ever adapted into anime by a competent production studio.
Coincidentally, both Astra Lost in Space and Rifle is Beautiful were completed or are near completion when they were adapted into anime. It's possible that anime producers would like to see how Hell’s Paradise ’s manga will ultimately turn out before pulling the trigger on an anime adaptation.
While Hell’s Paradise has lots of potential to be great anime, it might not have the popularity required for an adaptation. Hell’s Paradise was Jump +’s most popular series in 2018, but its position was overtaken the following year by the comedy manga Spy x Family.
Unlike most manga, which mostly utilize sex for fan service, it's a central plot element of Hell’s Paradise. Sex cannot be glossed over or censored so easily, because it is related to the power system, as well as the backstories of some characters.

The storyboards for the first three chapters of Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku were brought to the Shōnen Jump+ editorial staff in 2017. He believed that Hell's Paradise was the "mainstream battle fantasy" series that Shōnen Jump+ was still lacking and could become a best-seller in print.
