Well, it depends on the parent. My dad watches anime all the time! My mom dislikes anime. I don't know the details of why, because I can't be bothered to ask, but I know she's not fond of it.
First thing you need to understand is that anime is not a genre, not all animes sexualize their characters and there are all kinds of animes. The second thing you need to understand is that your kids are not stupid. Just because theres a sexualized female in an anime they watxh doesn’t mean they will take that as rule for real women.
Watxh the anime together with them. Ask them what they like about it. You can even search animes you find acceptable and invite them to watch it with you. There are tons of good animes out there with positive messages and no fanservice. And depending of your kids age, fanservice is not a bad thing.
Most parents might not have even heard of anime, and would probably not be able to distinguish between anime and cartoons. Although, I do have a friend whose mother is as interested in anime as he is.

Parents need to know that Your Name is an animated Japanese romance (dubbed in English) about two teens -- one a city boy, the other a small-town girl -- who intermittently wake up in each other's bodies. The movie is part sci-fi/fantasy and part romance and is best suited for mature tweens and teens.
