Released in 2016, Your Name has now been out for over three years. It has broken box-office records for domestic Japanese films, and also anime films abroad. Many consider it to be one of the best anime movies of all time, and Makoto Shinkai's greatest body of work.
The good news is that the director/writer did provide a Your Name sequel called Kimi no Na wa: Another Side - Earthbound, and the release date for the English translation is coming soon.
As much as we would like to have these titles forever, the reality is that some titles have their licensing agreements expire, which means there are no longer going to be available on Netflix.

This movie is more suitable for teenage viewers. Its story might confuse younger children, and it has some upsetting scenes and themes.
Part of the confusion people have with Your Name is it's structure. Because Mitsuha exists three years behind Taki, and because the movie randomly jumps between those time periods, the story doesn't flow in chronological order. Many times it can feel like Your Name is purposely leaving out information to trip you up.
However, Makoto Shinkai clarifies in a director's interview that Taki and Mitsuha did indeed get married and doesn't care about the different timelines of his works.
The Your Name ending scene sees Taki breaking the silence by asking Mitsuha if they've met before. She replies by saying she thinks so too. Their connection is reestablished, they shed a tear, they ask for each other's names – “Kimi no na (namae) wa?” the film ends.
In the epilogue, we see that she has lived her visit her parents, who can now both be honored for the legitimate police officers they were. In the final moments of the series, Ji Woo remembers the joy she had with Pil do before turning away and leaving the cemetery.

Your Name takes place in two different parts of Japan. Taki is based in Tokyo, a city that Mitsuha desperately wants to run off to, and Mitsuha is based in a rural Japanese village in the Hida region. The movie hops between both areas as the two explore their surroundings.
What’s the basic premise of Your Name? Your Name follows two characters, a teenage boy named Taki Tachibana and a teenage girl named Mitsuha Miyamizu. One night, after making a wish for a different life, Taki and Mitsuha wake up in each other’s bodies.
Your Name won three awards from the Japanese Academy, including the award for Most Popular Film. It won the award for Best Animation from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and Makoto Shinkai won Best Director at the Tokyo Anime Awards. Other awards were handed out for visual categories.

"I have to know his name. It has to be today." A student volunteered to be a student guide and he aims for a perfect performance until one student ruined it by breaking all the school regulations when it comes to proper attire and conduct, moreover he never tells his student information and left the guide with a kiss?!
This might be in the gray area between Yaoi and Shonen-ai. There is no sex, nor anything even approaching sex, so calling it Yaoi feels a bit off. But there is kissing, so it's not purely emotional fluff like many Shonen-ai manga.
Toho. Building a life with someone means inviting them into your home, into your life, and then building a new home and life with them. So when she hands that thread to Taki later in the movie, she’s not just creating a spiritual link—she’s offering half of herself to someone she shares a bond with.
And in that shrine, the Miyamizu women perform a ritual where they leave “half” of themselves to the gods by creating kuchikamizake—a rice-based alcohol that uses human saliva as a fermentation starter.
Because Mitsuha exists three years behind Taki, and because the movie randomly jumps between those time periods, the story doesn’t flow in chronological order.
Inside the shrine is a mural of Musubi: the Comet. The comet is 100% the source of this phenomenon. There have been not one, not two, but at least 3 impacts there.
