The anime adaptation of Demon Slayer Season 1 ends at Chapter 53 which is the first chapter in Volume 7. Chapter 54 starts the arc which has been adapted into a movie called Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. Once you have finished the movie, you can start from Chapter 70, which is the final Chapter of Volume 8 and read the rest of the manga from there onwards.
