Season 2 of "No Game No Life" might be cancelled due to allegations that author Yuu Kamiya committed plagiarism. Meanwhile, the upcoming "No Game No Life: Zero" film is based on the original manga and light novels. "No Game No Life" season 1 ended with Shiro and Sora facing a god in the finale episode, which was a big cliff-hanger for the show.
Despite its popularity, however, "No Game No Life" only ever received one season of episodes before seemingly disappearing. The studio behind the anime's development, Madhouse, produced a prequel movie adapting the light novel's sixth volume called "No Game No Life: Zero."

The anime series adapts through Novel 3, then jumps briefly to Novel 6 right at the end there. So you may not get the same ending, but you should still start on the fourth book.
That said, the anime only covers the first three volumes of the story, so if you'd like to find out what happens next in the story, you'll have to read the novel starting from volume 4. Volume 4 is already available in English via Yen Press, and the fifth volume will be released next month.

Sora is an eighteen-year-old male who excels at strategies and cold readings while his eleven-year-old stepsister, Shiro, excels at calculations and logic. In the end when they were about to challenge Deus EX was the point when it fully drifted off the Light Novel. Actually more than half was different or wasn’t in the Light Novel to begin with and that isn’t popular at all, even in Japan. (Example: Full Metal Alchemist was good but didn’t follow the manga or rather drifted at the middle, but Brotherhood was a masterpiece which followed the Manga)
And I don't mean some small loopholes here and there. The very foundation of the tactics requires knowing things that are beyond realistic human knowledge. As a result, there is zero tension in this show. This is not Kasparov vs Deep Blue, this is playing against a psychic who can list every move you will make before the game has even begun.
