Code geass vs DeathNote. What is better??
The Code Geass Akito the Exiled movies are very similar to Code Geass. Now wait, I know what you're thinking. "Aren't they part of the same franchise?" The answer to that question is technically yes however in name only. They are a great example of someone trying to make anime with the same feel as Code Geass, and failing very, very horribly at it.
The ending is great that's all he needs to know. Code Geass has arguably one of the best endings of all anime, I'm not sure "happy" is the right word but I absolutely love the ending By the end of S2, yes. It wraps up in about the only way it could result in a happy ending.

Most of the dystopian Japanese anime are based heavily on a science-fiction setting. For example, Akira, Metropolis, Eden of the East, Code Geass, Psycho-Pass. The film Akira is one of the most famous Dystopia animation in Japan.
The fact that Code Geass is better than Death Note is very subjective. While Death Note is pretty boring after episode 25, Code Geass is not perfect either. One reason might be that Death Note had already fans of the manga. Also an anime being popular has nothing to do with it's quality.
Lelouch, the main protagonist of Code Geass, has had many women in his life throughout the series and each woman and romance holds its own special place in fan's hearts, yet one of these relationships stands above them all.
Parents need to know that this dark sci-fi anime series is part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup. It's very violent, with people getting shot point blank with pistols and machine guns, as well as lots of blood splattering across walls, floors, and bystanders' faces.
I think who finds Code Geass the most tragic is because of the musics, especially the last episode ending and some dying scenes. Ef - A Tale Of Melodies/Memories not too tragic but really sad.

Like yeah it's held as one of the best anime by a lot of fans but it has some very clear flaws that even it's fans agree with, and I've never seen anyone not like it and be like bad for it. It's a good anime with good characters, good plot, and a great ending that's really it.
Code Geass is much more political, with elements of the supernatural adding spice to it. While both protagonists are high school students, there are little to no high-school life elements in Death Note, while Code Geass uses this setting to both create significant situations and add comedic moments.
However, with Code Geass, the art style of the anime and manga are actually different. In the anime, the characters are super angular and look incredibly long and slender, with pointed shoulders and corners. The concept design was from CLAMP, the team behind Chobits and xxxHolic, so long fingers and limbs are excepted.
The manga is much, much short than the anime series which has fifty episodes. The manga is about eight issues, with a little over 35 chapters.
The manga has eight volumes, with 38 chapters between the volumes. Five issues of the manga are based on R1 while the latter half is based on R2 and concludes at the same point in which the original anime concluded.
The existence of chibi in the manga versus the anime is very similar to the idea of comedy being relevant as well. Chibi figures of the character seemed like were used in every silly scene in pretty much every early 2000s anime. It was as though chibi were the logo of anime, yet they were extremely absent in the Code Geass anime.
The Code Geass manga is littered with comedic moments and sidebars that don't really match the serious tone of the anime. Of course, Lelouch always ran into silly situations, especially when it came to C.C. or anyone in the Student Council, but the comedy in the manga is different.
10 No Knightmares. One of the most prominent changes from the anime to the manga is the complete absence of the Knightmare frames. Knightmares are what all the characters in Code Geass use to fight one another, and what constitutes it as a mech anime.
Many fans of the Code Geass anime forget that there is actually a manga that came after the anime. Along with the manga series of R 1 and R 2, there are a number of other Code Geass manga based on other characters' perspectives of the story and alternate realities.
