Wonder Momo is considered one of the worst anime of all time, and it managed to cement this reputation in just five episodes, which must be some kind of record. Ostensibly about an idol wannabe who ends up fighting evil aliens instead, it's no surprise that Wonder Momo feels dated from the word go. RELATED: 10 Worst First Dates In Anime

After all the delays and controversies, Crunchyroll's original anime “High Guardian Spice” has been released. The series is not getting well received by anime fans, as it is currently rated 1.4/5, making it the lowest rated original anime from Crunchyroll.

Though its characters suffer from "same face syndrome", Mars of Destruction doesn't give them samey personalities; rather, it opts to give them none at all.
New doesn't necessarily mean good, and the first anime made entirely in Adobe Flash is living proof. Hanoka should get some points for trying something new with animation, but the fact of the matter is that all it really accomplishes is reminding us why we stopped watching Newgrounds videos after ninth grade.
Originally a cult body horror manga. The release of the Pupa anime was delayed for several weeks. It wasn't worth it. The show is a storyless slog through animation that looks like someone cut himself making a watercolor painting. Plot lines and characters are briefly toyed with and almost immediately abandoned.
Despite what American television would have you believe, supernatural detective shows aren't necessarily a recipe for success. That goes double if the show in question is adapted from a mobile phone game. Studio! Cucuri didn't have much to work with here, but what little they had, they did even less with.
It's a 1996 release, but the grubby animation makes it look about 15 years older. Protagonist Chris Chiaki is thrown into a war-torn medieval world with minimal context.
Wonder Momo is a relatively forgotten Namco arcade game from 1987, so the target audience for the 2014 anime adaptation is anyone's guess. In fact, it's somehow got even less depth than a game that included avoiding up-skirt shots as a central mechanic.
Goofy title aside, 1991's Dark Cat feels like it was created without any real effort. It looks and sounds like Garzey's Wing, except that most of the actors in Dark Cat are former hentai voice actors who haven't quite made the transition.
1. Ex-Arm (2.17) Ex Arm is a “ Crunchyroll Original” series, and to date, their worst rated. The anime did so bad it’s actually rated lower than any anime in the history of MAL. The anime staff also had no prior experience when working on the show. 2. Vampire Holmes (3.38)
MyAnimeList is at a size where most fans are aware of it. And use it to keep track of how many anime they’ve seen. And even though I’ve said it’s not fully reliable for reviews, there’s still a case for it. Some anime for whatever reason, even when they’re not controversial, have the worst ratings. They end up in the dirt.
The anime staff also had no prior experience when working on the show.
The voice acting is awful, mainly because the actors keep pausing in the middle of sentences for no reason. Maybe they, too, cannot believe Dark Cat actually got made into a real series.
Wounded Man , a five- episode OVA from the '80s, utterly fails at this. Not only is protagonist Baraki a totally generic "bad boy" with few redeeming qualities, he assaults a reporter named Ryuko and beats up her male crew members in the first episode.
This would be laudable for a high school student's senior project, but instead Hanoka sprung from a professional animation studio. It debuted in 2006, the era when flash animation on sites like Newgrounds started taking off. At the time, it made sense to launch a TV show made with Adobe Flash.
Even worse, Ryuko and Baraki end up falling in love, even given their history.
With nothing going for it aside from laughable stupidity, this anime ranks as one of the worst around. It now boasts something of a The Room following, where viewers recommend it on account of how bad it is.
Garzey's Wing stands as one of the most notoriously terrible anime ever made. The English dub makes for an excellent hate-watching with a group of friends, but if you desire something of actual quality, move on. Garzey's Wing concerns a dude named Chris who gets spirited away to a fantasy world, a promising premise that only works if your story has coherent plot points.
Skelter Heaven. In the world of anime, the premise of cute, busty high schoolers enlisting in the military actually sounds like a potential sleeper hit. Unfortunately, Skelter Heaven fails to turn this fan service into an anime worthy of any fandom whatsoever.
Love Tyrant. One of the worst anime series of 2017. Love Tyrant is a rip off harem version of Death Note. Where the main character is able to write someone’s name in a “kiss note”, causing the person to fall madly in love.
An adventurer-type of anime series where characters level up and journey through dungeons. Not the most creative, but it felt good to watch it come together. But the abuse of fan service, “harem”, and Goddess Hestia who’s dressed no better than a prossy in a skimpy outfit.
The Garden Of Words is a beautiful anime .
Chobits seems like a good anime for how unique it comes off as . And it was ahead of its time when it comes to androids and robot girls.
Katana Maidens is a special case. It reminds me of Darling In The Franxx.
It’s no surprise that this anime is also a harem series. So many harems are the equivalent of horse sh**.
A.I.C.O.: Incarnation is the textbook example of anime science fiction nonsense. Its characters must overcome an alien, shapeless threat known only as "The Matter," as they venture out to uncover its secrets protected by a massive government conspiracy.
The demon's blade, Zsoltgewinn, has since between guarded by humans, only for its power to corrupt one of them and to continue its path of carnage. Gai Ogata is a young boy whose life has been tortured by the arrival of another demon blade, Shiryu, to his family.
For its adorable, Sanrio style and surprisingly relatable characters, the series has received mass praise from Western fans as one of the best comedy anime in recent years. And while the Christmas special isn't too far off from the regular anime's rating, it still loses points for being the shameless cash grab that is a holiday special.
Netflix has a large selection of anime available. But don't be fooled, quantity doesn't equal quality. Anime localization has been an uphill battle for the industry, as differing cultural standards and a lot of different cooks in the kitchen gave anime an early handicap during its formative years. However, with the likes ...
Sword Gai The Animation is another installment of Netflix's original anime boom that tries really hard to be as edgy, and anime-y as possible. In a world forgotten by the gods, people looked to a demon for help who, in turn, answered with their own wrath. The demon's blade, Zsoltgewinn, has since between guarded by humans, only for its power to corrupt one of them and to continue its path of carnage.
Disappointing in more ways than one , Netflix's Knights of the Zodiac currently stands as the website's worst rated anime.
One of the freshest faces on this list, Kengan Ashura came in right after Netflix had delighted viewers with the outrageous, quick paced action of their Baki revival. Kengan Ashura would turn out to be aesthetically similar, if not as well paced or as well received. It would tell the tale of a world where modern businessman carry on the traditions of their merchant ancestors and compete for dominance using mighty gladiators.
4 Attack on Titan Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese, created by Hajime Isayama, is one of the most popular Japanese anime series to be released. It was first watched in Japan during 2013 and was dubbed in English to be watched in America in 2014. It is best known for its emotional moments, ...read more.
The first season of Naruto started out extremely well . Each of the characters had something driving them to become a powerful ninja, especially Naruto who overcome many strong enemies even though he was completely alone in the beginning. What makes this anime so overrated nowadays is how bad Naruto has become after the first season. The fillers in the anime are completely unnecessary, and the vibe you got from the character development in the first season simply isn't there anymore. Yet fan boys still want to love this series since Naruto was their childhood and the anime that started it off for them, and they can't bare to have their childhood ruined.
It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, and 20 volumes have been collected in tankōbon format.
It's so popular that people tend to overlook the actual show as a whole. Dragon Ball Z is pretty good (way better than Pokemon) but I wouldn't say it's one of the best animes. Definitely one of the most influential and popular animes.
It's not an exaggeration to say that nothing significant happens the entire series. The characters are all awful, there's no development of any kind, the story is practically non-existent, the pacing is an absolute mess, and it really isn't as intense or action packed as people say it is. The only reason people think attack on titan is intense is because of its opening, which isn't bad but entirely misleading. It labels the show as an intense revenge story but in reality its just a crappy drama. And on a side note, you know a series has issues when the only somewhat likable character's thing is that she likes potatoes, that's just sad. Attack on titan had a pretty good starting concept but then the author just butchered it in every way he possibly could.
AOT is not overrated, sort of. I feel like people overrate it because many other people underrate it. Many people say this is a perfect show, but it isn't. No movie or TV show or book or video game or anything is perfect. But I would say AOT is pretty close. I feel like the people who overrate it hype it up so very much that you expect the show to have no flaws.
2 Naruto Naruto is an anime and manga franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto.
One Punch Man Season 2 is actually a decent anime, and its certainly enjoyable. The animation and the fight scenes got better. Not to mention, but even though the animation took a huge dip in quality, the humor, characters, and voice acting is still the same and great, and the story got better. For me though.
The voice acting is absolutely horrendous, like it is legendary in how bad it is. The story itself is dumb and boring, and the animation ain't anything special. However it's really the voice acting that makes this anime legendary in terms of how bad it is.
