Baki: Most Evil Death Row Convicts Special Anime (2016, 1 episode OVA) Baki (2018-2020, 39 episodes) How to watch the Baki anime adaptations in chronological order. If you’re new to Baki and want to get the best out of it, I would recommend you go with this order.
Due to its popularity, it has been adapted into an anime, first as Baki the Grappler (called just Baki in the text) and currently as Baki Hanma (which includes both the modern Baki and Baki Hanma, as they are, despite different titles, the same show), which is a standalone sequel to the original anime.
The Gist: Based on the manga of the same name, BAKI is actually the third anime adaptation of the character. The first adaptation was called Baki the Grappler and ran for 24 episodes in 2001. The second series, Grappler Baki: Maximum Tournament, premiered later that same year and covered a different fighting saga.
Baki (2018) is the third season in the franchise as it picks up after the events of the 2001 series. Since the plot is loosely connected so it won't be a problem if you skip the older Baki. With that being said, if you're a fan of vintage anime, Baki the Grappler (2001) is highly recommended.

Between 2018 and 2020, a two-season anime titled Baki — which primarily adapted parts of Baki's second Manga series — premiered on Netflix. Just last year, Baki Hanma, which is a direct sequel to Netflix's first adaptation of the manga, launched its first season.
Baki The Grappler is the first season of the series and it first started airing in January 2001. It tells the story of Baki Hanma who was obsessed with fighting and training his muscles to be strong and big. He learned his martial arts skills from his mother, Emi Akezawa.
Grappler Baki: The Ultimate Fighter is the OVA series that was released in August 1994. It revolves around Baki Hanma who is ready to fight the disciple of Doppo Orochi.
Baki The Grappler: The Ultimate Tournament is the second season of Baki The Grappler. It came out soon after the first season ended in July, 2001. It continues the story of Baki Hanma and his journey to become the strongest fighter in order to surpass his father.
Baki is the ONA series and it came out in 2018 with 26 episodes. After winning the highly notorious Tokugawa Underground Tournament, Baki continues his journey to become even stronger.
Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament is the second season of the ONA Baki and was released in 2020. It continues the story of Baki who was previously poisoned and was greatly weakened. He might die due to his condition. However, there is a cure to Baki’s illness which he would be able to get only if he participates in the Raitai Tournament.
Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre is the latest ONA from the Baki franchise and is currently ongoing. It involves Baki going to the Arizona State Prison to fight the infamous inmate known as MR. Unchained. He must defeat him in order to get even stronger and to finally face off his father, The Ogre.
This brings us to the conclusion of this crazy list. These protagonists have broken the norm of the main character that we usually want and have still made the story interesting.
Baki manga has a lot of chapters and volumes which were released in different years. After the first release, the next one continues the story. One thing with manga is that sometimes some side stories and extras are not linked to the main story. So there is a tendency to get confused about how to read this manga.
Baki manga is a masterpiece every “Otaku” should read. The manga is not just for people who love fighting; Baki illustrates the art of martial arts. The order to read the manga is sure to come to mind because of its many categories.
Baki – Season 2: Great Chinese Challenge Saga/Godlike Clash of the Kids Saga – 2020
Baki Hanma is obsessed with becoming the best fighter possible. His biggest dream is to surpass his father, Yuujiro Hanma, in martial arts and fighting skills. His father is so feared by everyone that he has earned the nickname of “ogre” by the people.
If you don’t want to watch the older installments of this anime, then skipping the first two entries in this watch order will not harm your viewing experience, as it doe not affect the plot of the 2018 series. But they are still a fun watch if you are a fan of vintage anime.

Not long after the second OVA, it was announced that the “Most Evil Death Row Convicts” arc would be adapted in the form of an anime series, which aired on Netflix from June 25 to December 16, 2018. The adaptation had a total of 26 episodes:

It began streaming on Netflix on June 25, 2018 in Japan, and started streaming on December 18, 2018 outside Japan.
September 10, 2018. ( 2018-09-10) Doppo Orochi pummels the life out of terror-stricken Kaioh Dorian before bringing the equally injured Kiyosumi Katou over to administer the finishing blows. Dorian finally acknowledges that what is defeat as he wished.
However, it adapts the arc of the same name from the Baki series. Created by Telecom Animation Film, it was directed by Teiichi Takiguchi.
Netflix renewed the series for a second season on March 19, 2019. On March 5, 2020, it was announced that the main staff TMS Entertainment would be returning to produce the second season with the addition of a new character designer and art director.
