If you want to follow the “proper” order, you should watch first Fate/Zero, then Fate/Stay Night UBW from ufotable (not the movie version) and finally the movie Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel. However, ufotable put a lot of references in FSN: UBW that will fly over your head if you haven’t watched Fate/Zero.
So if you want to watch the Fate anime series in order you need to follow this:

Fate/ZeroIn what order should I watch the Fate Series? Definitely watch Fate/Zero first before anything else. Then watch Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works the TV series. Fate/Zero is the prequel to FSN, so it's recommended watching that way.

I agree watch Fate/zero first, it's the prequel to fate/stay night. There are arguments for and against both options. Might as well stick with Stay/Night now since you're already watching it and then watch Zero.
How many Fate anime series are there? As of January 2020, there have been seven Fate anime series released. The titles are listed below, along with the years they were originally released. Note that this list doesn't include any of the movies associated with the series.
Well, Stay Night is the Core Franchise, I think it's best to watch the spin offs after SN's 3 routes. If you want to miss the masterpiece that is Heaven's Feel, yes you can skip.
There is no definite order for Fate series since the Visual Novel and the anime are not directly connected. So, this is just based on my experiences and I prefer your own choice and experience to watch the series.
It all started with the adult visual novel Fate/stay night, which was released in 2004 by the company TYPE-MOON. At the heart of the series is a “main” storyline that follows this visual novel, while the majority of the entries in the series either extend and expand on this storyline or are set in alternate universes.
The other entry in the Fate series that absolutely must be mentioned is Fate/Zero, which was originally a light novel that was released from 2006 to 2007 by Gen Urobuchi. Yes, that Gen Urobuchi, who worked on Puelle Magi Madoka Magica (2011) and the first season of Psycho-Pass (2012).

The three storylines of Fate/stay night, which are intended to be played in order: The Fate storyline , which focuses on Saber as the main heroine. The Unlimited Blade Works storyline, which focuses on Rin as the main heroine. The Heaven’s Feel storyline, which focuses on Sakura as the main heroine.
The main protagonist of the visual novel Fate/stay night is Shirou Emiya, a Master who is pulled into the Fifth Holy Grail War. He is aided by his Saber servant, as well as other characters such as Rin Tohsaka (a mage and fellow Master) and childhood friend Sakura Matou.
Arguably the most recognizable character (s) from the series is the Saber class servant (pictured above); all I really knew about Fate before going into it was that there are lots of different Sabers. People not familiar with the series (like myself) usually get them mixed up.
Fate/Zero does some explanation of the Grail Wars , its rules, and the Master-Servant dynamics, but it all comes pretty quickly right off the bat. It jumps right into the action (which is a great thing!), but it definitely helps to have already been familiar with the universe as set up by Fate/stay night.
Events of Fate/EXTRA Last Encore starts hazy, and that's by intention. In this anime, Hakuno Kishinami wakes up in a strange world accompanied only by a Servant. With no recollection of his past, he somehow apparently has to win the Holy Grail War and, hopefully, regain his identity in the process.
Fate/Zero once again takes place in Fuyuki City, a decade before the events of Fate/stay night. As this setting implies, Fate/Zero serves as the prequel to Shirou's adventures. This time around, Kiritsugu Emiya becomes a participant of the Fourth Holy Grail War.
2 Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (Anime, 2019) In Babylonia, Chaldea's Ritsuka and Mash travel in time to Mesopotamia in 2655 B.C. Their goal is to fix the Singularity in this era to prevent the Earth's destruction in 2016 - only for a monster-besieged region to surprise them.
Fate/Zero serves as a great third piece of media to bridge the main Fate/stay night story and its spinoffs. After Fate/Zero, fans may also choose to play the /stay night sequel, /hollow ataraxia.
Surprisingly, their journey ends when the world is about to end, in 2016. Ritsuka and Mash need to stop Solomon's plans once and for all.
This anime adaptation stars Shirou Emiya, the sole survivor of an incident that engulfed an area in Fuyuki City in flames. A decade later, Shirou keeps himself busy by the day with schoolwork and some odd jobs. Meanwhile, he also secretly practices basic magic taught by his late adoptive father, Kiritsugu.
Unbeknownst to him, Sakura has a mysterious past connected not just to the Holy Grail War as a whole, but to the entity that has begun killing off the War's participants. As with UBW , the Heaven's Feel films explore the titular route in the VN, where Sakura becomes Shirou's leading lady.
Some of these most awaited anime sequels include ‘ Mekakucity Actors ‘, ‘ Saiki K ‘ and many more. Out of all these anticipated sequels coming out in 2019 and 2020, one that many viewers look forward to is the third installment of ‘Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel’ movie series that is scheduled for 2020. The currently running ‘ Fate/Stay Night ‘ ...
As I mentioned earlier, the game from which the anime has been adapted has 3 different timelines. A visual novel never really follows a linear pattern of storytelling and that gives it the advantage of portraying many different storylines at once. But unfortunately, an anime has to be linear with its storytelling and this is where most anime fail to be as good as the visual novels they have been adapted from, except for a few like ‘ Steins;Gate ‘. ‘Fate/Stay Night’ tries to take a well-rounded approach by involving bits of each timeline so that it is able to introduce the viewers to the Holy Grail War and at the same time, move the story in a linear understandable direction. Despite being an overall above-average anime, many still believed that ‘Fate/Stay’ was not really able to do full justice to its source material.
If you go by the release dates of each season, then ‘ Fate/Zero ‘ was not the first one to be created. But chronologically, if you go by the timeline of the anime, this is the first part of the story that introduces you to Fourth Holy Grail War. ‘Fate/Zero’ is also known to be one of the best parts of the entire series for its deep characters ...
This route is adapted into a trilogy of movies instead of a regular anime series. There are three movies in total, The first movie Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel presage flower was released in 2017, The 2nd one Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel lost butterfly was released in 2019.
Fate/Extra is a good game, though. So I recommend playing it.) Fate/Grand Order: First Order (This is the start of the anime adaptation of the Fate/Grand Order video game. I recommend waiting till the other anime adaptations are released before watching it, so you can watch them in the correct order.)
Watching Zero first is detrimental to your enjoyment because it assumes you know how things work in regards to lore and the world, which the 2006 anime goes into detail on, and it spoils most of the mystery the 2006 anime is built upon, thus ruining the purpose of the Fate route and the 2006 anime.
3. Literally everything else with no specific order. There's no order after the original because everything else exists in alternate universes, the only one to follow up that is close to a sequel to F/SN would be Fate/Hollow Ataraxia which doesn't have an anime yet.
