But as Haikyuu has never been a romance led series, it's great to see that at least one couple has been not only solidified but taken to such an extent.
‘Doukyuusei’ is a fairly recent anime movie that deals with homosexuality between two male characters. This is a really great romantic/drama anime which touches on some really deep stuff. Rhito Sajou would have never met Hikaru Kusakabe but fate pulls them together. The boys are completely different one (Hikaru) a guitarist in the band and other a studious A-level student. Hikaru helps Rhito in preparing for the chorus. Slowly they start meeting more frequently and before anyone knows it, they fall in love. This is a must watch if you love romantic stuff.
Rabu★Kon (2007) ‘Rabu★Kon’ or ‘Love Com’ is a romance genre anime created by Aya Nakahara. The story follows the life of Atsushi Ōtani, a short height boy, and Risa Koizumi, a tall girl. A tall student from another class shows up and catches Rias’s eye. Meanwhile, Atsushi has a crush on another girl.
Love is one thing that is unique in the entire universe. Everybody thinks that they fully understand it but they really don’t (like a Christopher Nolan movie). Some want it while some deny it. No matter which side you are on or how much icy your heart is there are times you do feel the need to be loved.
So, far I have seen two seasons of this anime (I don’t know if there are more). Though I liked the first season I found myself admiring the second season way more. Anyway, if you are looking for a romantic anime to invest some time in, then going for ‘Clannad’ isn’t that bad of an idea. Tomoya Okazaki is the male protagonist of the anime. He feels that his life is boring and dull. He has given up on his life and has made peace with the fact that he will never become anything. Along with one of his closest friends, Youhei Sunohara, Okazaki skips classes and lazily wastes his time. One day he encounters a girl named Nagisa Furukawa. She seems to be muttering something to herself. She suddenly exclaims ‘Anpan!’ which catches Okazaki by surprise. Nagisa then claims that they are friends even though Okazaki ignores her. But as the series progresses he gets more and more attracted to Nagisa and learns that she has been held back a year because of her illness. Nagisa dreams of reviving the drama club. Okazaki finally decides to become her friend and help her fulfill her dream. Through this experience, he starts learning more about himself.
I really liked the protagonist. Though she doesn’t possess any special qualities she is quite interesting and carries the series along nicely. Kuronuma Sawako, the protagonist of the anime, is a nice high school girl. She is quite sweet and simple but she is highly misunderstood by her classmates and her peers.
The premise is quite funny and entertaining and so are the characters. Just one tip before you start watching this-don’t be serious. This anime is not made for serious and complex romantic stuff. The protagonist of the story is Koyomi Aragi.

Music can impact our lives in amazing ways. This romance anime portrays this beautiful message through its main characters and their journey to let go of the past and strive to grasp a brighter future. Any true romantic will most surely enjoy the sound of puppy love ringing throughout the entire series, filled with both passion and despair.
If you are in search of a sweet and heart-warming romantic tale, then look no more, because the romance between Shirayuki, a herbalist with the rare hair color of red, and Zen, the second prince of the Kingdom of Clarines, is exactly like that.
Get some tissues ready because this notorious tearjerker anime will leave you in tears by the end of almost every episode. Following the events of the first Clannad anime, this sequel is a sweet and wrenching tale of first love and the bonds of family - for better or for worse, in sickness and in health.
Ore Monogatari!! takes a different approach to the romance anime genre by placing a boy (a very unique boy) as the main protagonist. Takeo Gouda is huge, intimidating, and scary... but he truly has a heart of gold.
Love works in the funniest of ways. Mei is an awkward, antisocial girl with not a single friend in sight, while Yamato is a popular, easy-going guy with more companions than he can count. These two couldn't be more different, but they still end up in each other's arms, proving that opposites do attract.
Opposites attract once again in Kimi ni Todoke. This time we have Sawako, feared by her classmates due to her keen resemblance to the creepy girl from the Ring, and Shouta, the cheerful and kind boy who teaches her to open up to those around her and show her true colors.
Another very sweet and lovely love story between Emma, a maid of tragic past, and William, the easy-going heir of the House of Jones. Their love is forbidden, but can they break through the social norms and be together? Fans of the Victorian era should definitely check out this romance anime.

The high school student Sawako Kuronuma is loathed by her classmates, as various rumors manifested in the school that she could see ghosts and curse people. The reason for this is the similarity of her name to Sadako, a character from the Ring.

Animation is something typically seen as something best fit for action and comedy stories, i.e. the seemingly only genres that would take full advantage of animation's dynamic characteristics. However, as Japanese anime have proven time and again, there is plenty of room within the cartoon pantheon for more grounded direction and dramas, ...
The modern generation of anime has become near synonymous with the success of Sword Art Online. While the isekai genre may try to focus explicitly on adventuring, Sword Art Online broke the mold by bringing fans a surprising and touching adventure with plenty of romance and Slice-of-Life themes.
After being saved from a vampire attack long ago but turning into a semi-vampire himself, Koyomi Araragi finds himself at the center of a lot of high school conflicts, where his peers and family are haunted by ghostly apparitions.
Bakemonogatari isn't going to be for everyone, but it has hands down made its mark within the industry as one of the most unforgettable anime out there. Fusing the introspective yet quirky writing of Nisio Isin and Studio Shaft 's unique animation and directing, Bakemonoga tari has turned the high school romance into a surreal adventure.
