Where it starts to get complicated is with Jotaro. Japanese names are generally read family name before given name, so he'd be more properly addressed as Kujo Jotaro, which leaves a "Jojo" in the middle. The same can be said for his daughter from part 6, Jolyne Cujoh.
It premiered on April 1, 2016 and ended on December 23, 2016.

Araki admits that the idea for the name came from his neighborhood's local Jonathan's restaurant where he and his editor would often hold midnight meetings. The two decided the protagonist's first name would be Jonathan, and Araki, using Steven Spielberg 's name as a reference, decided the last name should follow the same format, and thus Joestar was decided. Araki mentions that it was risky using this type of name, as using a foreign name for a main protagonist at the time was considered taboo.

Due to a lack of proper localization, a common problem for fans of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series is determining the correct spelling of names found in the series. Multiple scanlation groups, fansubbers, and even professional anime and gaming companies often translate these names based on assumption or other reference material, or to avoid trademark and copyright issues outside of Japan. Because of the series' common theme of referencing musical artists, a false etymology W has formed amongst fans regarding some of the names.

Copyright concerns lead to innovation. JoJo fans know that creator Hirohiko Araki is a huge fan of American rock and pop music, and he loves to reference that music when coming up with Stand names. But when the anime came to the U.S., a lot of those names presented potential copyright problems.
Many fans believe most of the names are spelled exactly like the artists and bands they reference (with some exceptions such as Zeppeli) due to the belief that Hirohiko Araki does not like copyright changes to his character names.

Diavolo probably doesn’t have a last name simply because he hates connections to anyone else. Your last name is kinda like your tie to your family and the people around you so I don’t think diavolo would make one
Technically, Diavolo wasn't his real name. Since Doppio and Diavolo are the same person, Diavolo's name was Doppio. So now we get into Diavolo's Wife and Daughter.
