An anime on food sure piqued my interest. It was good enough for binge-watch, the highlight is the display of one scrumptious dish after another. The animation is really good in displaying the dishes, from presentation, to aroma, to inside filling, it's able to capture the essence of well-made dishes.
The anime Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma is arguably best known for two things: its rampant fanservice, and its equally sexual food porn.

Yumeiro Patissiere is much like Food Wars, although it is less intense and has more cute characters. Fans whose favorite character was Megumi in Food Wars will probably enjoy Yumeiro Patissiere.

Food Wars! has some hilarious character interactions and an amazing soundtrack. The world-building is so polished and realistic that at some point, you forget that this academy doesn’ t actually exist. The best part of the show is the animation which makes the food look so good, it’s sure to make you hungry. II.

The answer to this question is both yes and no. Yes, since it has the generic shonen trope of “Protagonist is OP.” And no, because even though the protagonist is OP, he does have decent character growth, and also, the main concept of the anime is entirely different.
Nope, Food Wars has officially ended. The main source material that is the manga, was completed back in 2019. The Fifth Plate also concludes at the same point that the manga did. But there were some specials released after the end. So, one can hope for those specials to be released in the form of OVA.
Yes, that is doable. But it is not recommended to do so. That’s because the OVAs are released after each season is finished. So the story and timeline are synced with the prior season. Thus, if you watch it all at the end, you might miss a few exciting snippets.
Though I joked that Food Wars is all about Foodgasms, it is an excellent anime to enjoy. The writing, the art style all are captivating. In fact, I learned a lot about cooking after watching this anime.
Watching the Food Wars! anime will give fans a rough idea of how each dish is made, such as the key ingredients, the cooking implements used to make them, the seasonings involved and other basic details. That isn't a substitute for a full-blown recipe though, and the anime's episodes don't offer detailed recipes after the end credits.
YouTube offers even more resources for Food Wars! fans who either want to prepare these delectable anime dishes for themselves or simply watch skilled chefs prepare real-life versions of these recipes and see how they turn out.
yes, food wars 5th plate is ending but can we also get a marriage spinoff of soma and erina soon? just because- pic.twitter.com/QmLEYgeZA1
"my heart longed for" feels much more romantic than "looking forward to". Love the short hair tho, reminds us she's an adult already. 😍 pic.twitter.com/8pONouKPZF

I liked the ending of food wars, idk why so many people complained about it pic.twitter.com/uUL81RYgT4
It's only a problem if you let it be one. It's an anime about cooking and food. If you explained to your kids that the “foodgasm" parts are them portraying how good the food tastes to the person eating it it wouldn't seem so bad.
It's actually Food War Souma or Shougeki no Souma (whichever one works). Depends upon the age of the children. Food Wars Souma is Cooking, Ecchi, comedy, Slice of Life manga and anime.
