Devils Line is a show about vampires and it sucks ass harder than any of its characters suck blood. The story is just really great. Kaneki Ken's long lost vampire brother wants to drink human blood, but not because he is a pervert or hungry, but because if he does not, he turns into a monster. Such a real hero this guy ...

The couple once again declares their love for each other and says their farewell for now but as the episode comes to an end we see them reuniting after a certain amount of time, showing that even after so long they can actually be together again.
Devils' Line is definitely much better than a lot of other vampire romance animes. There's a lot of thought put into the world, the violence is actually violent, and it's honestly hard not to get emotionally invested in the plight of the vampires.
As a natural continuation of the first season, Season 2 of "Devils' Line" would continue to focus on the story of Tsukasa and Anzai. Tsukasa is a college student living in Tokyo, where vampires, otherwise known as devils, exist and prey on humans, resulting in a devil-specific police task force.

What Parents Need to Know. Parents need to know that Blood+ is an anime series that's extremely violent and often scary. Vampire-like monsters hunt men, women, and children, killing them with their sharp teeth and extra-long claws; blood also spurts out of decapitated victims' throats.
Technically, the arc ends at Chapter 40, but because you kind of want to know some of the details the anime skips, I moved it up.

Devils Line , as I went into this anime I was ready for another Vampire Knight kinda thing but was actually fascinated when it turned out to be similar to one of my all time favorites... Tokyo Ghoul. Please try to keep in mind the description doesn't do it justice and the first episode isn't all that great but I assure you it gets better!.
I beg to differ. I was really excited last year when I heard that a new vampire/romance genre anime is coming in April, and I waited for months for it to come out. The anime came out, the romance was cute (at least they kiss and express their love), but Tsubasa is the stupidest, & cringiest character ever. Anzai isn't much better either.
These shows star characters who are adults. They hold down jobs, attend university, raise children or do other independent adult things.
However, the show itself gives a more mature feeling that is beyond just teenage romance. What Devil’s Line fails to do is make a story that stands out on its own. The story connects a vampire named Anzai together with a college student named Tsukasa Taira. She is saved by this mysterious character after being attacked by a vampire. It also turns out that Anzai is a vampire himself and has to control his bloodlust. The catch is that the show tests his nature as a vampire while also being hunted down by a vampire extermination organization known as the CCC. Sound familiar?
The main vampire is the generic dangerous vampire with a bleeding heart. He has an intense, raging, vampire hard-on for the main girl. His character is just a mish-mash of every conceivable trope that you can find in a "Vampire Love interest". He is an overprotective, aggressive, over-bearing, rapey, creepy, stalker (but we are supposed to consider him mysterious, tortured and kind).
Their relationship being the main focus is atrocious and is one red flag after the other. Their first encounter was somewhat rapey that made the girl "smitten". Then the vampire repeatedly shows up at girl's apartment balcony, watches her in her sleep, follows her on her way home, shows up at her college etc. The girl is completely Ok with this because those vampiric dark-circled eyes make her wet, I guess. All actions or sexual advances, by the vampire, towards the girl are neither resisted nor encouraged by the girl in any way. Her only response is staying still with her eyes widened. This makes the supposed "Romantic" scenes too uncomfortable.
Anzai and Tsukasa’s voices are a total contrast of each other. Anzai sounds like one with little emotion while Tsukasa’s voice sounds alive. On some instances, I wonder just how much the creator wanted us to accept them. In the meantime, the OST is mostly eerie with a melancholic quiet tune during some of the more emotional scenes. The theme songs are what people would easily designate as edgy. I don’t like using that word around much but it is what it is.
The story is just really great. Kaneki Ken's long lost vampire brother wants to drink human blood, but not because he is a pervert or hungry, but because if he does not, he turns into a monster
This show is not even ironically fun. It's so bad it's sad. Every vampire romance cliche and trope in one shell spiced with extra sharp edges. On top of that, it takes itself way too seriously for a show which so heavily relies on the given edge. If this show accomplished anything, it is how impressively bad and unenjoyable it is.
The characters literally write the same story as Twilight, only that the former does it WAY better than what’s found here. Tsukasa Taira is NOT the equivalent, but a dumbed-down version of Bella Swan, mute, expressionless, and there as a plot device to keep the story entertaining as its romance-supernatural genre can go. The same could be said for the MC vampire, Anzai Yuuki, a half-vampire, the dumb-down version of Edward Cullen, trying to control his half-demon, half-human powers and constantly breaks the mold for his police group (Public Safety Division 5 F Squad) into trying to live in a world that’s Twilight (where humans and vampires can co-exist). Johannes Kleeman as a half-vampire, I’d say he is only the handful of good characters that doesn’t have a backstory, but yet is kind to everyone, is intelligent and is able to discern stuff very well. Other characters are generic, bland and uninteresting, the only one-liners I can say about characterization (if there was ever any to begin in the first place).
Yuuki Anzai is a half vampire, and Tsukasa Taira is a normal school girl. Vampires seem to be living among humans. Outwardly, they appear nearly identical to humans, so the general public does not know of their existence. They also do not need to drink blood, but when they get a craving or get angry, they can become uncontrollable monsters.
Summaries and more information about the chapters and volumes can be found at the individual pages.
Set in a world where humans and vampires both exist — vampires are called "devils" — "Devils' Line" tells the story of a young college student named Tsukasa Taira who encounters a vampire out one night and almost dies, but is fortunately saved by a detective named Yuuki Anzai. As Tsukasa comes to find out, Anzai is actually half-vampire, a fact he hides from the public, especially as he works on a task force fighting devil-related crime. When he finds himself falling in love with Tsukasa in the aftermath of the attack, she threatens to destroy his careful control and personal promise to never drink human blood.
Continuing on from the Season 1 finale, Season 2 would start after Tsukasa and Anzai's breakup, as the two attempt to stay away from each other for their safety. Unfortunately, they end up drawn together once again due to love and circumstances. Anzai is no longer a detective, making him a major target for both anti-vampire humans and vampires he previously crossed paths with through work who now want revenge. As a hybrid, both humans and vampires question Anzai's loyalty, which naturally creates many enemies for him.
It could be a year or three before you hear any news about a second season, and this is the same with "Devils' Line." Although Season 1 of the vampire anime came out in 2018 , the production company hasn't given any word on whether or not the show has been renewed or cancelled, leaving it open for them to return to the story in the future. A few months after "Devils' Line" Season 1, the studio did release a special OVA episode of the series, but since then there has been no news.
Anzai is a half-vampire, half-human hybrid who works for the special police force called Division 5 that looks to find and arrest vampires guilty of various crimes. Thanks to his human side, Anzai has better control over his vampire urges than full-blooded vampires, but his close relationship with Tsukasa definitely tests his vow to never taste human blood. Anzai soon falls in love with the young woman, eager to protect her from both the outside world of vampires and himself, as he questions his ability to stay in control.
I am surprised at the amount of negative comments I've read concerning this anime. This is an anime that is based on a 13 volume dark fantasy manga that was completed in December 2018.
This is an anime that is based on a 13 volume dark fantasy manga that was completed in December 2018. In some ways it reminded me strongly of Tokyo Ghoul and slightly of Anjin, not that this is a bad thing in my opinion as I enjoyed both of those for various reasons.
Anime Like Devils’ Line. Devilman: Crybaby. One of the newest, and arguably most trending, anime on this list, Devilman: Crybaby follows Akira Fudo. This young man is a unique protagonist, as he is very sensitive, so much so that he cries at the sight of others in pain.
Instead of the modern world, this anime is based in medieval times, on an island run by a mysterious group called The Organization.
Hellsing Ultimate tells the story of an organization’s mission to save the world from the creatures trying to devour it. In order to do so, the company’s leader, Integra Hellsing, unleashes an all-powerful vampire known as Alucard. Using guns, mystical powers, and a sarcastic attitude, this immortal monster deals out gallons of blood-soaked mayhem.
Just like in Devils’ Line, the streets are run by fear, with few citizens in Tokyo Ghoul able to actually live normal lives because of the constant dread of ghoul attacks. What’s interesting about Tokyo Ghoul is that it takes a similar, yet opposite direction regarding its supernatural subject matter.
Comparison wise, Blood+ will obviously draw you in based on the vampire side of things. What you’ll end up sticking around for is the exploration of the effects these situations have on both sides of the spectrum, in terms of the concepts of vampire natural instincts and immortality.
Seek out Hellsing Ultimate if you enjoy the gruesome aesthetic of Devils Line but also don’t mind that the tone is a bit serious and brooding.
At the start of this Netflix series, Dracula is approached by a woman a young woman named Lisa. Despite his intimidating mannerism and fearsome reputation, Lisa isn’t scared off by the vampire. The two eventually fall in love and marry.
